And if you have, if you’re new to our channel, welcome. Let’s start by making you some money with this matchup between the Los Angeles Angels and the Tampa Bay Rays. For the Los Angeles Angels, we have Jose Soraniano listed as the starter in this one, while the Rays will counter with Ryan Pepio. And you know, Pepio coming off a rough start last time out. Four innings, gave up seven runs on six hits, three walks in that start, gave up a pair of home runs as well. You know, he’s got a 5.80 80 RA across his last seven starts. He said not a great spot for Pepio to be in. Now in two career starts against the Angels. He has had success, a 2-0 record, a 3.27 erra. Have to give them the credit where it’s due for that. But you look at Pepio’s numbers and his splits this season. At home at Steinbrerfield, surprisingly a 3.46 RA with how hitter friendly that ballpark has been. But on the road, 1 and5 430 erra on the year. Now, the problem for Pepio is that the majority of his home runs that he’s given up have come at home. 23 home runs he’s allowed, 17 have come at Steinbrerfield again because of how hitter friendly that ballpark is. But he’s just given up a lot of base hits in a shorter sample size on the road. He’s struggled with walks. He’s given up a combined 45 walks this season and almost been 50/50 on the road with 21 walks away from Steinbrer Field, only 44 strikeouts. And I think the Angels can get to him here. Now, on the other side, you have Jose Soraniano, who has been a pitcher that I faded at Angel Stadium for the better part of the season because he still has an inflated erra there. But his last two starts, he’s have been quality starts at home. Six innings of two-run ball against the Seattle Mariners. Seven innings of two-run ball, one earned run with seven strikeouts against the Texas Rangers, albeit in a loss as the bullpen sort of, you know, let it get away. Gave up some inherited runners. And again, the the the offense came a little bit too late for the Angels behind Sorano in that start. But I think Sorano can have a decent outing here. You have a raised lineup that in the last two weeks against right-handed pitching, you know, has been fairly ineffective. their bottom, actually second worst in baseball in isolated power against right-handed pitching. Now, granted, you know, the Angels haven’t been that much better. They do have a worse batting average than the Rays in that regard, but I tell you, I think that the Angels lineup can get to Pepio. I think they can do enough here. the bullpens. Like I said, it’s not my favorite game on the board because there’s a lot of variables here. But if Soraniano can keep up this momentum and this trajectory at home, I think the Angels could get it done behind this another strong start from Sorano. Like I said, just don’t love the current form of Ryan Pepio. So, I’m going to roll with the Angels in this one and a lean on the money line and that’s going to be my free pick.
