BREAKING: Minnesota Vikings WR Jordan Addison Officially Suspended the First Three Games of 2025 SZN

What’s going on, Jeromes? Uh, in news that should absolutely shock nobody who’s been paying attention. Pelisero go. The NFL has suspended Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison without pay for the first three games of the 2025 regular season for violating the NFL substances of abuse policy. Addison is permitted to participate in all training camp activities, including preseason games. Uh so Addison will be suspended for the Bears, Falcons, and Bengals games. He’s able to return for the Steelers and Browns. Like Per Pelisero said, uh he can participate in everything, training camp, everything in preseason, and he can practice with the team uh the second half of his suspension. So halfway through Falcons week, uh should be good to go there. And again, something that’s been expected for a while. And I love the reaction. Oh, the Vikings blindsided by this now. everyone knew what was up even before this this J got adjudicated. Uh you know Quy Kevin O McConnell the organization Addison like everyone figured okay it’s going to be three games right and overall the Vikings I I think are going to be fine at the receiver spot because you have Jefferson who was up on blocks for training camp letting him rest letting him get ready for the regular season going to be fine. Uh Jaylen Speedy Naylor has been looking good also filled in nicely for Addison last year uh when Addison had the ankle injury. Rindale maybe not so much, Felton maybe not so much, but also Lucky Jackson, Deshawn Jones, Sarah Thomas really stepped up nicely, especially Lucky Jackson, you know, Balden and Dante Fleming, Tim Jones. So, overall, the Vikings should be fine filling in for Addison’s uh Addison’s production. Although, you know, Addison and McCarthy have definitely struck up a little bit of chemistry, right? Because Jefferson’s not been out there, but nine to three, it’s a place to be gonna be good. Also, it’s kind of noteworthy is that spot rack Jordan’s three-game suspension will result in $266,390 of base salary forfeit. It’s more than what Diamond Dallas Turner lost. Uh 291,000 of signing bonus payback, which wow. Wow. Wow. I mean, he’s already had that money for multiple years. Now, they’re just getting some of that back. Avoid on the guarantee of his remaining $4.2 million in uh guarantees in 2026. So overall, it’s not that big of a deal. I mean, he’s going to be on this roster this year, next year regardless. Uh but potentially, this does lower his threshold for suspension in future years because he could have a uh you know, a small incident that, you know, other players would get fined for and no big deal. But Addison may be suspended because of this issue as well as the speeding issue from last offseason or two offseasons ago. And that could come into play, say Addison stays and signs a lucrative multi-year uh heavily guaranteed uh contract with the Vikings, then all of a sudden, I mean, could those guarantees be avoided? Are we heading towards a Shamar Stewart type standoff on an extension? Who knows? Who knows? Doesn’t matter overall, but you know, Addison, respect, has kept his nose clean this off season. Done and said all the right things. Taken ownership of the situation. Uh he’s not going to appeal. is going to take his suspension and he’s looked really damn good uh in training camp frankly of the star players he’s one of the one of the ones who’s looked the best and also like we said his chemistry with McCarthy certainly there I I honestly think that even though he’s going to miss the first three games I I think we’re looking at a you know 75 catchous thousand yard type season 10 touchdowns again I I think that’s certainly within reach uh because Addison’s going to be pissed off he knows he’s got ground to make up he doesn’t have a guaranteed contract anymore but I I I feel like he’s going to do that, especially with Jefferson out there just absorbing two or three defenders at a time. So, yeah. Uh anyways, your thoughts, our thoughts, finally officially official everything we all already knew. Addison suspended first three games of the 2025 season.   13. Dude could have afforded plenty of track time if he needs to drive that fast. Just get into race cars or whetever, don't let this derail what looks like a hell of a WR run in the NFL, dude. So many ways to scratch that itch for speed without setting cash and wins on fire. It kinda makes sense Addy would love going fast, though. Just redirect that in positive directions, dude.

  24. Good. He needs to experience some negative consequences to ensure that he learns from his mistake(s). Then, Addison, the Vikes & fans can move on without any grudges, because Addison will grow up as a result of the suspension & he has quite a future in the NFL (hopefully he'll be with the Vikes as Jefferson's 'right hand man' for a number of years).

  26. I hope Addison learned a lesson from this BS. He has hurt the team he professes to love. He made two immature mistakes since signing with the Vikings. Three mistakes and your ass should be traded.

  39. Aloha Andy. It's time for the other Vikings receivers to pick up their weight during JAs 3 game suspension. We know Jetta will show up weekly with TJ Hockenson. The other receivers need to be efficient in run blocking and pass catching with ball security emphasized on a daily basis during practice. ❤😂🎉😮😢😅😊
