Chicago White Sox vs Seattle Mariners – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 5, 2025 MLB Season

the rare veterans in this lineup for Chicago. And we’re underway with the first pitch fast for strike one and fires home. Swing and a miss on a fast ball middle away. One away. The White Socks have been feeling pretty good for the first time in a while. This is out towards left field and Randy watches this leave the yard. Lenin Sosa with his 12th of the year and that White Socks offense right on Q. Two batters into things puts a run up on the board. It’s one- nothing Chicago. 60% fast. Benendi strikes out. Two away on the ground out to JP Crawford. Routine ground ball for out number three. Sosa the homer. The White Sox have an early one- nothing lead. Davis Martin is up on the mound. His first pitch is popped up. Easy play to get things going for the White Socks. Fouled it back to the glove. Good fast ball from Martin in 96. Two up and two down. Four of the top five in this order for the Mariners were all stars this year. And out at third base, let’s see if the Mariners want to take a look at this. White Sox walking off the field. Rosarena nearing the line in left field. He makes the catch for out number one. Here comes the O2. Inner edge. Strike three called. Third punch out for Brian Woo. They’re willing to put down a bunch. If they got to hit behind the runner, they’re going to hit behind the runner. They need a leadoff hit. They’re going to get a lead off hit. They get a two-out hit here. Teal finds the corner and he’s into second base. A stand up two out double. Two-2 swing and a miss. Good heater up and away at 97 mph. Four strikeouts already for Brian Woo. So effectively off the barrel of the right-handed batters and goes right back to it. And there is out number one. You know, we talked about can zone fly ball right field. There it goes. Tie game. Don Kenzone goes deep. And a walk right in front of it. Up and in at 96 mph. Gets a swing and a miss. But Kzone goes yard out to right after two innings. He does speak good English. I heard he and everybody used to say I heard he spoke good English like yeah he does bouncing up the middle Crawford ranging behind the bag slings onto first and a one two three inning spun by Brian Woo the O2 one hopper quick skip Montgomery steps on second over to first base get Martin out of the zone here ground ball Montgomery three low throw but handled at first base by Sosa the Mariners ran a runner at third base. Now they’re looking for about 65 pitches between four and five innings and they want to see something similar to what they saw over the weekend. 96 over the plate. Lock them up. Robert caught looking. Six strikeout for Woo. Here comes the 2-2. Start it away at 97. Brian Woo racking up the strikeouts. He’s got seven punch outs over four innings. You do it. That’s why I played the outfit. Oh my goodness. tagged it to left like he never left Seattle. Another one, two. He struck him out. Fifth strike out for Martin Gino with a two-run blast out to left field. Second home run tonight for the Mariners and they lead it three to one on a two-2. He got him at the top of the zone. Three straight strikeouts from Woo and eight in total tonight. One hopper Shinhai Woo got to take care of it himself. Brian Woo in the driver’s seat through five. Eight strikeouts, just one run allowed. Now, you know, it’s just hard to get him out. Last at bat, he hit a change up into right field. Oh, let me see if he’s going to be late on a fast ball. This is to the warning track. Tman’s got enough room and Young has to get back to first base. Give me 440. Sounds good. Oh. Oh, Tman is there. A little too much top spin brought that one back down to earth. That was ripped. Julio on the ground. the short way and Young is out after five. The Mariners have a 3-1 lead. And I tell you, Cal, I mean, they have such a great rapport. All this starting staff, they all have a great they all push each other. Last year defensively and ends up with the Platinum Glove. Kzone in right field makes this catch for out number three. And Gina’s going to go yay again. Well, there he goes. It’s a very wide throw and an easy steal of second for Josh Naylor. His 18th stolen base this year. Both runners take off. It’s a strike and they both coast in there without a throw. That was a heck of a frame there though. Did a nice job framing that strike on the ground with the infield drawn in. It’s an easy base hit. Naylor scores. Gino’s on his way to touch home. Two-run base hit. Jorge Palanco. The Mariners open it up a little bit in the sixth inning. Rolled over. Fair ball to second. On to first. Not in time. JP beats it out. JP on his way to second. There’s no throw. And I have a feeling that that’s advanced scouting right there. On the ground. Smothered. Rojos can’t stay with it. And he’s able to recover. Teal has room. Two-2. Gino patrolling. Foul ground. Makes the catch. Hanging up there to the alleyway in left center field. Randy underneath it. It stand. It just jumps off the page. Kzone angling towards the line. Don Kzone makes the catch. Great play. I was swinging and I hit my hand on top of the dugout and that left him off. Oh, on its way. Naylor a home run. Nice bat flip right there too. Bat boy shows the maturity he’s had. This is a fair beauty. Now sometimes it’s your night. Oh my goodness. Filet of fish. I love it. Little inside out and a backhand by third. Mariners will strand a pair, but they get two more runs on Naylor’s homer out to right field in play deep left center field. Julio Randy and Randy doesn’t make the catch. It’s a nice add-on. Al Teal Julio underneath this one. Makes the catchers were pointing up there. I don’t know, but that time of night. Oh, what a heck of a play now. That’s athletic. Please be okay. Popped up. Naylor angling back short right field and makes the squeeze like Amina. 2-2 up and away. Cal goes down on strikes. Oh my. Stay hot, Jake. Yeah, thanks for coming. To the ninth inning. It’s a sevenun lead for the Mariners. The opposite way. Kenzone is just watching. Luis Robert Jr. here with a ninth inning opposite field home run to right field and way back there. Wow. Off the base of the windows of the hit it here cafe. Coulson Montgomery his eighth home run in the last 12 games. Spots in this ballpark that if it goes there they automatically spit out a number. I think that’s exactly what happens. Jay, here’s Mastro to make the catch. Well, it’s not working. Aaron, ball game. Mariners take game one. 8-3 the final score.

  1. Every time I see this great stadium I think of how it could have been different. 82 games there vs 8 for the seahawks, and yet where the mariners used to play was the kingdome right up against the city skyline, but it was an ugly domed stadium where I used to just go outside along the concourse to get some fresh air and sunshine. So what did they do? they put the seahawks stadium in the prime spot, and put the new mariners stadium further south in an industrial area, plus put an ugly ass roof on it that never, ever gets used. They could have had a great outdoor baseball stadium right up against the Seattle skyline with no roof and fantastic views of the city and the water, but it all got reversed.

  2. It’s good to have Suarez back. Dude hits nukes. Especially on a day where Cal had a bad one. Good looking out on the upload. Faster than the officials
