Tampa Bay Rays vs Los Angeles Angels – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 5, 2025 MLB Season
Well, here’s Simpson, the fastest man in baseball, as he takes ball one. Simpson, a very interesting player, but he takes strike three call from Soriana. There’s that knuckle curve, is able to throw it in the strike zone. Yandi Diaz now in the two spot with Simpson leading off. Here’s a high chopper that Moore grabs on the run for the second half. I love those quick outs. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Boy, that’s has some sync to it. That’s a splitter. Nasty. 274 batting average. Five home runs. Netto on the first pitch, chopping one toro. Takes his time getting that throw across, but still has it there in time. Basketball program. Yeah, very good one there in the Big East. Here’s a fly ball to center field from Shawell. It’s for Duca, another former Dodger. They did pretty well in the trade for Tyler Glass. Now, a guy they weren’t going to pay anyway. Their strike three called for Shroud on the outside corner to end the inning last night. Hey, it’s not lost on me what’s going on here. You give us that game. Look at that play by PZA from his knees. He gets hit to throw out Josh Low. Now that’s called that’s called a segue down there for That’s some good timing. Way to go on that play. But pretty cool for him to go take off and right back to the mound. All the grounders here early for Soraniano. Balls. Two strikes on Duca and a swing and a miss. Strike three. You like him after that. Soraniano has looked good early here. Three strikeouts, two scoreless innings. Home ballpark he’s at. He’s got great stuff. Just taps this one to the second baseman. Launch the first down. Got it down too. He had one to hit. Lifts a fly ball to right near the line. Mangum has plenty of space. Two outs. They have struggled to get the offense going so far tonight. Six up. Six down for Pepio. Hard. PZA though with the backhand pick sets himself and throws out Fiducia. See his hands. That’s that’s a tough. He strikes out here and Soriano has four tonight. That 100 mph fast ball. Take a look at our stack of fast ball. Two outs. Here is Simpson as he gets one in the air right center field. Joe Adell got a good jump. He’s there to end the inning. Found ball. It’s Walls who grabs it on the short and throws out the hustling Christian Moore. One away. Broken bat floater toward the middle coming in the second baseman. La for the swinging a miss ends the inning. So Ryan Pepio has mowed through the first time through the order. Brandon Laau’s tried to straight away center field. Teodosio is all the way back. Scales the wall and almost had a chance at that, but it’s a home run for Brandon Laauo. His 20th of the year as the Rays take a two nothing lead. Fourth. There’s a liner for a base hit again. This will put Camro all the way to third base. Low will hit for second with a double. And the Rays keep pounding away at Jos Soraniano here in the fourth inning. O needs a strike out or a ground ball at somebody. He gets neither. It’s a bouncer that goes over the head of Moore and two runs will come in. So another fourth inning meltdown for Jose Soraniano tonight. And there’s another hit. A bouncer in the right spot down the line all the way into left field as the runners advance to second and third on a wellplaced double by Fiducian. It’s a squeeze play, although a safety squeeze. Soraniano flips it home and it’s off the mark. Soraniano goes to get it after it dribbles away from Mangum scores. Walls has an RBI. It’s five to nothing Tampa Bay against the White Socks. Simpson locks one toward left. That’ll make it six to nothing. Heading for third base is Walls. I mean, Taylor Ward’s got to throw it in. Simpson ends up at second. It’s an RBI double. grounded ashore. This will at least get it out. Altho throws to third base and Simpson is tagged out there. Slapped right at PZA to end the inning with a seven spot for Tampa. Slow roller this one in play for Brandon Laauo. And there’s two up, two down. He come back here to face the Dodgers next week. That’s strike three called. You could you and him could sing Marshmallow World. That’d be great. Swing and a miss. Strike three. Two outs in the inning. Still a lot of time, but some teams that are certainly panicking at this stage. 1 2 3 inning in the fifth for Garcia. And now 23. Joe Adal socks one into the bullpen. A two-run homer. That was an absolute laser out of the ballpark. Slider, it’s been hit pretty hard this season. There’s a base hit for Moore. Up the gap in right center. It goes all the way to the wall. Oh, Hoppy’s to third base. He’s being waved home. Here comes the throw and he’s out. Oh man. From the left field corner here a couple years ago. It’s line but right to the second baseman. La. And it’s a double play. The Angels get two men thrown out on the bases. Drive off the bat of Teodosia. Duca popping one up to Moore. Bell comes in to wave him off and make the catch. Who had a sacrifice punt for an RBI last time. Strikes out here. lost one to center. Tuca there for the first out. That baseball has no chance to be in his own zone. He was under control. He’s ball forced now. A down who hit a rocket of a home run his last time. Pops this one shallow right. It might drop coming in. Mangum. He won’t get there. Base hit. Adele trying for second base and he a little oh safe as the ball gets away and Taylor Ward who could have had a chance to score there stays at third. Trout comes in. It’s seven to three in 47 innings this year. [Applause] Off the end of his bat, pokes it to Diaz and that ends the innings. The Angels settle for just one at seven to three. There’s the ball on the ground. It’s more with the backhand and a quick throw. Look how quick he got rid of that baseball. Nice play. Ball. Two strikes on Yandi Diaz. And that’s right in there for strike three. Painted that fast. Must have been looking for that change up. That is a swing and a miss for strike three. So Carson Fulmer with a one, two, three inning. Scoring change on Adele’s RBI double as Mo rolls one third. Went out. Called that a single Griffin Jacks at the trade deadline for Minnesota. It’s a strikeout of Raza for every nine innings. It’s pretty high number. Dosio is running. Cro to second base is not in time. It’s the second steal in as many nights. Swing and a miss ends the inning. [Applause] Swinging a miss. Strike three. Sinker. Three strikeouts in a row for Carson B. They are nine and 24. One out for second. So they basically undid their 25 and N stretch by going 9 and 24. Carson Bulmer strikes out two more in this inning after he banned two in the seventh. Owen Shaell leading off the inning. The right guys behind him, but Shawell pops up the first pitch. see him swing at the first pitch a whole lot in a 4-1 game. Trout goes down on strikes for the third time tonight and that ends the inning. Quick one for Usetta. Does it and he hits a bouncer to Moore. Quick bobble throw to second. Gets one over the first. Too late. [Applause] punch called. So Simpson goes down looking. Two outs and Walls stole second on the play. Getting a good fly ball to right here. Will give him three scoreless innings. Good job by Carson Fulmer tonight. Yeah, I love his energy. See if that’s enough to get the offense going here in the bottom of the ninth. Seven to three. Angels have some work to do. Joadell off the end of his bat lifts a fly ball. It’s an easy one for Duca. And that’s the first out here in the bottom of the ninth. And that’s a cold strike. 50/50 ball. And Fairbanks gets it his way for the second half. Yeah. Too close to [Music] that ends the ball game. 73 the final. That four run. in that sevenrun fourth inning.

Is Victor González still in the Angels minor leagues?
Is there still no set return date for Tampa Bay Rays' Manuel Rodriguez? He's scheduled to compete in the WBC, but will he be ready in time?
The Rays did good. Let's go!
