Jays have been very good but holy shit the Rockies are such an embarrassment to the sport. Can we think of any team that tries less besides maybe the Pirates?

  1. Is this a 3 game record? I feel like it wouldn’t be but that is an insane amount of runs

  2. I’m quite new to baseball. But to me, the way the Rockies just packed it in and gifted 8 runs in the 9th in the final game of the series was such bull imo. As competitors, how can you not be humiliated?

Show out in style even if you’re losing, show good sport man. It’s one inning, what are you going to rest? Nah.

  3. This will help the Jays’ run differential.

Are they a real first place team, yet?

  4. Colorado draws almost as many fans per game as Toronto, also right behind Milwaukee (best team in MLB) and more than the Detroit Tigers. So maybe they are paying attention to the fact that most fan bases don’t care whether you try or not. And maybe if you go all in and even win World Series in smaller markets, that doesn’t move the financial dial. Maybe there needs to be a larger monetary award from the league for winning the World Series?

  5. It was like batting practice towards the end. So many meatballs and slow, hanging breaking balls.

  6. I’m a Jays fan but I’ll say this right now, the Rockies are taking these beatings while sneakily building one of the best young teams out there. Tovar, Goodman, Beck, coming up is Condon, Andujar, Holliday.

  7. Cardinals lost a series to the Rockies and just took the series against the Dodgers.. wacky world we live in

  8. I mean, I could probably win a baseball game against your elderly mother, too.

  9. The Rockies had a bad start to the season but have actually been doing ok recently, blue jays knew how to take care of business

  10. The top of the 9th is a perfect example of why the league needs a forfeit option at the end of games. The Rockies don’t want to use bull pen arms (smart) so they send their catcher to lob batting practice balls in and they get lit up for like 10 runs. The Rockies had given up on the game and it should just be an option instead of whatever that was

  11. Michael Kay says the Blue Jays aren’t really a first place team, the Yankees 6 games behind them are the real deal. Apparently wins and losses are meaningless and run differential is everything. This could help at least.

  12. The Rockies have been one of the worst teams in professional sports for decades but, because they continue to draw crowds, management never changes

  13. I said this in a thread yesterday, but I’ll say it again, where is the Rockies fan that said the Jays aren’t a first place team lol.

  14. It was a shellacking, but consider 8 of those runs came in the 9th today off a position player pitching (catcher Austin Nola). Still impressive, but a little padded out lol.

Austin Nola now has an impressive 72.0 ERA lol
