Minnesota Vikings Release First Unofficial Depth Chart. Any Surprises?
[Music] What’s going on, Jeromes? Minnesota Vikings have released their first unofficial unofficial unofficial depth chart ahead of the first preseason game against the Texans on Saturday. Now, no one should put any stock into this, maybe a little, right? Because the depth charts, they aren’t made by the coaches. I mean, they’re made by usually the sports information department or media department. So, it’s something that’s required by the league, but don’t read too much into it unless it agrees with my perceptions of the team. And then it it is gospel, right? So, put together by Craig Peters here. Uh Vikings got enhance. Got to get the sunscreen. There you go. Offensively, JJ McCarthy. Oh, he hasn’t officially been named quarterback one. No. But McCarthy starting and left right generally is the depth chart. the unofficial depth chart of course. Uh so how two ripen three bromer four we’ll see running back wise aon Jones senior uh Jordan Mason as the backup Tai Chandler Xaver Scott the UDFA Trey Stewart as well fullback CJ Ham the greatest fullback in the National Football League. That’s right. Uh I don’t like how they split up wide receiver. Like is it a X? Is it the Z? Is it the outside? Is it the slot? It really doesn’t matter. But Jefferson and Addison are your starters. Uh then backups are Naylor, Lucky Jackson. Uh and it it does make you raise an eyebrow. Lucky Jackson ahead of Rond Del Moore ahead of Ty Felton perception wise. Uh Dante Fleming, Miles Price, Robert Lewis in the news. Uh special teamamer Tim Jones behind Rondell, Deshawn Jones, uh the Thomas as well as Silus Balden. But I if you look at the way that they’ve been deployed with the first, second, and third team units, uh maybe there’s something different there. tight end Hawinson Oliver and then it goes into the or right so if there’s not a clear-cut uh line of succession it’s URC or reach he has tight end three Nesbbit or newcomer Nick Vanet as tight end four or I guess be five Dasoft school Logan Brown so Brown has actually been taking some second team reps at left tackle uh which has been interesting because he was right tackle in college obviously he does have that flexibility and school. So, Darasaw’s played some 11 on 111s, uh, but they have been limited reps. Uh, Justin School has been in that mix as well, uh, filling in for Darasaw. That’s been, uh, the story all off season. And then Logan Brown. I I love Logan Brown. I feel like 6’2 crew is going to be is going to be impactful in preseason. A left guard uh, starter Diamond Jackson for real. Uh, find just like not footing around just Yeah, he’s our starter. Yeah. Uh then backups of Brandle, Huber, Verson Lee, uh the former South Carolina center. So yeah, it’s interesting he’s listed as a guard now listed on the center one. Again, unofficial center Ryan Kelly Jurgens, Z Coral, a right guard. Will Fry, Henry Burb, interesting that they didn’t list Brle as backup or right guard since he’s been taking first team reps when Fry hasn’t been in there. But you like I said unofficial right tackle O’Neal Rouse Leroy Watson and Matt Nelson who uh reportedly tore his bicep in the night practice. So yeah defensively so Dline Allen Phillips Hargrave uh win play show one two three uh key backups so LDR listed first could mean nothing could mean everything. Uh Jaylen Redmond, uh T the rookie. Uh so listed together. Uh then Harris, Taki, Takie Taki, Oi, oi oi, Travis Bell, and Elijah Williams on the outside, round the outside, Grenard, AVG, Diamond, Dallas Turner, and Gabe Murphy, RTOR and Tyler Baddy, and then Chad Shambbley inside linebacker. So Aima is listed ahead of Kobe King, except Kobe King’s been getting second team reps ahead of so again unofficial. Uh quarterbackwise, uh can they break up the corners like this? Uh Murf, Rogers are your two starters. Uh backups Blackman, Akuda, Mcloth, Ready Stewart, Ambry Thomas, Zamayon, Keenan Garber. Uh where where’s Hassie? Oh, Khalifasi list at safety. Interesting. Uh and then also Tavier Thomas as safety as well. He he’s more of a special teamer, so that’s certainly interesting. But uh you know safety wise Harrison Mattelis carry on my Jayward son Theo Jackson all that stuff again uh again unofficial Ryan Wright ahead of Oscar Chapman we’ll see Will Rocker he won the kicking job thank goodness and then uh the return man so this going to be a rotation through in the preseason games but a punt returner is listed as Ronda Moore kickoff returner list as Ty Felton backup Ty Chandler uh Chandler handled a lot of the kick return duties last just said duty and then backups for punt return. Lucky at two, Silas at three, and then Miles Price at four. I mean, Silus could do both. And I I feel like if he’s going to secure a 53 spot, he’s going to have to win both the punt and kick return job. So, that that’s basically it at this point. Again, it something that makes it raise a couple eyebrows, but then again, it it is completely unofficial. This is not put together by the coaches. This is put together by the information department. So, again, it’s unofficial if it’s something that disagrees with me. It’s official if it if it agrees with me cuz it’s always about me. That’s right, man. Anyways, your thoughts, our thoughts. Vikings released their first unofficial depth chart against uh for the first preseason game against the Texans. Let us know your thoughts. Our thoughts, comment section. You guys, the best to do. Skull production value.

Short time listener, first time commenter. Decided to abondon ship on the Cowboys after 37 years of loyalty, and am coming aboard the Viking ship mainly because of JJ (big Michigan fan). Can someone fill me in on where the Jerome thing is coming from? As a thank you in advance, let me leave you with this: how has no one coined the term "McCarthy & Sons" for this passing game? JefferSON, AddiSON, JackSON, HockenSON.
