Cardinals’ Offense VANISHES as Padres Cruise to Victory

Don’t let the final score fool you. The Padres’s dominated the Cardinals on Sunday. Hey, it’s JD from Lockton Cardinals and the birds were grounded for eight of nine innings on Sunday as Dylan sees some company chewed hitter after hitter up and spit them out until the ninth inning. The Cardinals had one hit one. Not sure if they took smelling salt or what happened in the ninth when they lit up Adrien for four hits and a walk which led to three late runs. But it was too little too late as the Padres’s win it 7 to3. Andre Palante got the start. He dodged trouble almost the entirety of his five innings. Only allowed the two runs on the home run by Jake Croninworth, but four more came in against Gordon Grac. Another one off Rodri Munoz. The defense was shabby. The offense was absent. I mean, if this is how things are going to be over the final two months of this season, it’s going to be like hell. Baseball hell. Dodgers are up next. Yay.   2. I really hope change to Chaim Bloom next season really influxes some new strategies and young talent into the mix. We NEED a change desperately. I don't know what happened between May and now but it seems like we've reverted back to old trends with this team. I'm a lifetime fan but some games are just hard to watch all 9 innings. You can see that with the attendance disparity between the Padres and Cards home games. I hope Chaim gets more people to watch the team over time. I love the Cards and I still think there's a way to turn this team around over time.

  5. What did you expect they cant hit 2 days in a row
    They need to be cleaned out along with all coaches and anybody that was in the front office before bloom
    They wont complete before 28 if we are lucky

  6. Agreed JD, it also just hasn’t felt like Cardinal baseball for quite some time now. I hope Chaim can get that culture/feel back, because watching this is damn near unbearable!

  7. I wasn't expecting much from this season, but damn. Brant Brown's plan was in full effect at the beginning, but flushed down the toilet right after. So bad.

  9. By vanishing you must mean that the garbage offense from last year didn’t get magically better, they just massively over performed the first couple of months putting unreal expectations in the simple minds of casual fans and bloggers.

  18. Why tf does Marmol have 3456 hitters batting 2nd? Get rid of Nootbaar, Contreras, Arenado, Micholas, Gray. They aren't going anywhere with them, they might as well get as many young pitchers as possible.
