Cincinnati Reds vs Pittsburgh Pirates – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 7, 2025 MLB Season

He’ll be batting ninth and of course playing his customary third base. But first things first, TJ Fredel and what else? A 99 mph fast ball from Paul SK velocity at 99 and then 98 mph. Elite fast ball velocity. But the ability to do that right there, pull the string with a change up. when you’re not even talking about his breaking balls. Right spot for Matt Mlan. He’ll get on here with one out for Cincinnati. Double plays this year. Does hit a lot of ground balls. There’s a line drive base hit. Got a sweeper and backto-back hits for Cincinnati. Well, just little bouncing ball. He’s going to get out of it. Double play. How does he do it? Singer with a strike out to start. Brett Hayes maybe. Spencer Steer had first base records the second out. A sinker. Well, out to left. Brian Reynolds going the opposite way. That’s some power from Brian Reynolds. Pirates up one- nothing. Oh, glove. Now the looking for more with two outs. Base is loaded. Triolo comes through. McCutchen on his horse. Two are in. safe. Triolo knocks in two. Three nothing Pirates. Henry Davis pops it up. Pirates will get three in the first. Brian Reynolds started the scoring and 100 miles an hour. That’s a deep right center. Cruz arrives meeting the ball. There’s a big prospect in the Mariners system. Davis ranging. Wow, that wasn’t up there for long. Even Jim Wolf likes it. Good career numbers against Singer and Fredel didn’t quite think he had got enough of that one, but for that final wild card birth, no teams in between them. He’s there. He’s there. Not enough time for the exchange. So, Mlan gets the second out. Wear this kid son off. It’s very comfortable. Singer bounces one over to first, but gets through. Can he turn it? Oh, that close. He got him. He got him. Got him to chase the fast ball. Skins are going to leave two more reds on that time. Brady Singer with his second strikeout tonight. Head on a swivel out to fairly deep right. Just got underneath it. Reynolds will feain the tag there. That one out to Marte again. A second chance for him. Pirates strand two in the third, but lead three nothing. Good night. And so far that change up has been on. He’s done since the middle of May. That’s gets six hits off skins with the wall. Reynolds will bare hand making a play of it. Lux with a double. The fifth hit for Cincinnati tonight. The longest streak by a Pirates starter since Zayn Smith back in 90 when the Pirates won the division. Not sure how he hit that 99 up and in right there. There’s the change up, great pitch, great execution. I mean, who else are you going to bring in deep in the hole? Delic Cruz. Wow, nice long hop throw. Another base hit for the Pirates. Davis comes around third to score. Horwitz knocks him in. Four nothing Pirates. T Brian Hayes. Gonzalez beats out the back end. [Applause] Back to center field, but Fredo comes on. Pirates add a run. They’re up four to nothing. Get some quick outs. Weak ground ball gets Triolo some work out to third base. There we go. Maybe that’s why they quit swinging at the first pitch. There’s that good change up that Paul Skins has got down below the zone. Well, that’s cool. The great great grandkids coming and getting to learn about their their Davis down on strikes for the second out. No, but Knights the Wonderbread. Whoa. How about a little blooper? It’s down. Here comes McCutson and he is out. Thrown out at the plate trying to score from second. And that keeps it four nothing and he shrinks him out. Eight strikeouts for skis. Never know what New York would have ruled but may have been worth taking a look at. Also should be pointed out that soft fly ball and that’s that. Six scoreless for Paul skins. [Applause] to forward Fredel. Horwitz can advance here with one out should get the run in. Yep. Get the ball in play for Sudter and he’ll grab the final out. Pirates add on. They’re up five to nothing. So noticeable. This slider will get an out. When he’s in the zone with his breaking ball, he can get away with it a little bit. And Cruz on the run. F can track him down like that. Wow. He aired it out. That was the fastest sprint speed he had on any out this year. didn’t give up any runs or walks. And Davis maybe having his best day in a while at the plate. Yeah, he got one out of here. Henry Davis with the home run. And a boy Henry. Two-run shot. Seven nothing Buckos. Shulu at his glove. Still the play for ML. So he probably felt like he had some big shoes to fill and you know offense being a need for the Pirates. First base in particular getting the call. Zuluetta gets the Reds out of the seventh. But the Pirates had two on the home run by Henry three and he’s been very good when healthy to deep left center but Cruz with enough room. familiar with guys do that in the offseason as well as in season and he lands slider couple of strikeouts for Ryan Baraki hitter can challenge I wonder if they do that that’s driven Fredel on the run toward the notch that’s a great play too. Get up. The crews backtracking but caught off and Fredo makes the final out to the ninth. Still 7 nothing Pirates. Little popup. Nicholas thought about it. Forward says, “I have a bigger glove.” A little closer. Nicholas with a strike out. Skyed to center. Cruz has got it. And the Pirates blank Cincinnati. What a good all-around win for the Bucks to start this series. They win seven to nothing over the Reds

  1. Singer throwing potatoes….check……Reds hitters with holes in their bats….check….Reds bullpen throwing beach balls…..check…..Typical Reds baseball…. check

  2. I feel so bad for Paul Skenes! He deserves to play for a winning club. Wish the Yankees would trade for him. Hell even the Giants or the Phillies or the Texas Rangers. Anyone but the Dodgers or Mets. He deserves so much better!
