The greatest B ever. During an Angels Rays game, pitcher Tyler Anderson had already thrown over to first base twice. The max throws per batter with Chandler Simpson, baseball’s fastest runner, clearly eyeing second base. When Anderson started his motion, Simpson took off, but suddenly hit the brakes. He found himself in a pickle, caught between first and second. Simpson jked, spun, reversed, and somehow scrambled back to first. He avoided two tags, and even slid past the bag, but reached back and got a fingertip on it to stay safe. Now, here’s the twist. You can throw over a third time, but you have to get him because the out wasn’t completed. Simpson was awarded second on a ball. He baited the pickoff, danced through a rundown, made it back to first and still got second anyway.

You can only throw at first base twice??? What a lame ass sport if you have to have a rule that one team can’t get the other team out a specific way too many times
