when we won this lottery,it felt like the 2020s being the decade of the rangers was actually an idea that wouldnt be laughed out of the room,shesterkin coming over and playing hot out the gate,fox blossoming into a franchise D,our 2nd overall pick hadnt lost any luster yet along with zib,kreider and panarin in their primes
and then we were adding a 1st overall pick that was comparable to a steven stamkos/john tavares level talent on top of all that? sometimes comped even HIGHER than that? it felt too good to be true
that shoulve been the red flag,because it was too good to be true,as it always is with this god forsaken franchise

Worst decision to draft Lafreniere. He’s legit the hockey version of Jamarcus Russell. And now, laf is dating social media influencers that have officially ruined his career. He’s a bum. And that evil terrorist worst than Bin Laden, Drury, gave him that contract. I would have drafted Byfield instead.
Our luck it was a year without a franchise altering stud.
People do not realize enough the significance of Lafreniere just being a run of the mill player. We NEEDED this pick to turn into a superstar i.e a PPG player. Compounded with Kakko, that is why the rebuild has failed to turn into a Cup
Man, feels foolish now to have thought that a Cup seemed inevitable. But the first and second overall picks, Shesty, Fox, Panarin, Mika? This team is killer on paper lol
