Rockies vs. D-backs Game Highlights (8/10/25) | MLB Highlights

And they’ve got brandon fought out there on the mound. Brandon has already matched his career high win total of 11 from last year for Brandon f avoid the freebies. No freebies. Unfortunately, in the first two games, Diamondbacks, pitchers have walked 14 Rockies hitters before they don’t have much of an offense, so don’t give him any freebies quality strikes early. We’ve seen the Rockies attack the first or second pitch of almost every at bat in this series. Here is Ezekiel Tovar right handed in shortstop and a broken back base hit to left. So one out single for Tovar that’s going to bring up the catcher Goodman. 22 homers on the year held hitless in five at bats yesterday. That is most unusual. This means he’s due today. That’s right. And see what you mean, Hugh, you are so precious. It’s pretty easy though. Anytime hunter, if there’s a rare occasion he goes over, you know, he’s going to be hacking at that first one and good chance he’s going to get a base hit too. And now Brandon fought is one kyle Carros out away from a scoreless top of the first shot to first locklear’s got it. F hustles over and Brandon able to two Rockies runners numbers for Tanner this year looking for his first win out on the road and a 123. See you later on. Carroll. Good depth on that curveball, good start for Tanner. But how many times do you see that? You’re right. That’s down the line. What a play by Benna Bell. Gordon beats Marte to the bag. What a beautiful play by warming. He’s made a couple of really fine plays at first base for a guy that’s not a first baseman. He’s played a lot of third base and Moore on the left side of the diamond. And this time, the one you were referencing before to his right and now this one is to his left has been an on base machine in this series. He’s got four hits. He reached base yesterday. Diamondback. All star dunks it into right center. A two out single boy. He is on a heat right now hitting 370 since the all star break and he’s on board up and in on so many teams like to work him to be ok. And here’s Adrian del Castillo D backs trying to take the lead here at the bottom of the first Del Castillo gives it a and first of the air for Adrian Del Castillo and left the bat at 104 miles an hour. We mentioned that he hit that double to the gap in left center last night and hope that that would get his bat going. I’m telling you he mashed that ball to right field back of a 3 to 0 lead. We start the top of the 2nd 1st appearance in the series for Fernandez coming off a three for 13 home stand. One of those hits was a homer. This is line to right good swing. So a base hit for into the ball game. And this is what Braxton did down in Albuquerque. And in his last stint, he threw out a number of hits, got a hit in his final at bat yesterday and now he starts out today one for one so two board with one out again. Now back to back singles and here is another highly talented prospect, Ariel, a 21 and this is bounced down the line. It stays fair in the corner. Here comes Fernandez Braxton Fullford gets a green light. Fullford will score and all the way to but caught there is Avior. So it will go as a two run double for Adal and the Rockies right back in there. So he’s able to clear the hips get on top of this. So it had a lot of top spin on it for Tyler locklear. He’s thinking I can get it but the second bounces go right past him. You know, it’s going to be a double, you try and force the throw to third rather than the play at the plate and give Kittel take credit, made a good strong throw to the third baseman Alexander who just had to catch it back with a 3 to 2 lead plays. Alexander now digs in one on and one out and that one rolls to shortstop to can’t complete the play either. Well, two terrific stops by the Rockies middle infield, but they couldn’t quite finish him off and Blaze is aboard did this in the first inning where he got to two outs. Now he’s got to get Marte and what he does so often against the Rockies. Mars it through a diving a sea Larkin waving man. Here comes the throw it off and it’s 4 to 2 the top of the third inning with a 4 to 2 lead over the Rockies 23 and four in that lineup for the Rockies starting with Ezekiel to, and this is lined to deep right center field. This is going to touch down and bounce over the wall so it will be a ground rule double and Tovar is two for two. Good start to the third inning for the Rockies two outs in the innings. Kyle Carros and that’s a base hit and it’s a 4 to 3 game. Love that. Kyle Carros. What an opening act jumped on that change up on the inside and knocks in a run. Second RB I is a big leaguer. Rockies get one back fifth inning Arizona with the lead 4 to 3 pitch inside for a ball to warming Bena Bell who has grounded out twice. This is down the line fair ball extra bases for warming Bernabe and he’s hit to second with a one out double his sixth double in 14 games for warming Bernabe and now with two down here is Doyle and that’s a base hit into left field gurriel with the throw. Here comes Bernabe, he’s out of there. Another defensive gem for lourdes, Gourriel junior, Andy Gonzalez swayed Barnabe around second. Lourdes came up firing and mccann’s got it on the other end for the put out with a 4 to 3 lead in the bottom of the fifth locklear gets his first hit on the weekend to load the bases, three singles. The table is set, it rolls over to first Bena Bell tackles, it gets and it gets away Doris home and it’s 5 to 3. Beel threw the third out away win over. Made a nice play. Got up and I think what put some pressure on him right there was the speed of Alec Thomas and running hard down the line but not a good throw. A good throw to his pitcher who was covering there is plenty of time. Mccann Squirts one through A DC is home. Here comes locklear, he will score and alex in at third and the D backs now have a 7 to 3 lead. A little drops in for a hit. Alec Thomas is home, it’s 8 to 3 base hit. Amador knocks it down mccann scores blas into third and they batted around in the fifth franchise record for two out hits in an inning is seven. They’ve now matched that third time. They’ve done it in Diamondback history. That’s in the corner and here we go. Lays is home, Corbin flying into third. Here he comes RB, I double two runs are in for Marte 11 to 3. The Diamondback lead. Another one here comes Catell. It goes on a dozen runs for the Diamondbacks on this Sunday afternoon. And now there are two down that is going to bring up kyle Carros this ball line to left that a boy kyle Carros and he’s going to have his second major league double and he’s got another RBB. I know the score ain’t pretty. But you know what Kyle Carros, his swing is this ball crutch to deep left by Doyle got a chance to fly and it will two run shot Bretton Doyle after home yesterday and it’s 12 to six double digit home runs. Now for Brent and Carroll’s into second with a two out double. And now here is Connor Kaiser who came in defensively in the top of the seventh, a place of Kell Marte. Let’s see if Kaiser could come through with an RB I knock, he lifts it out to pretty deep right center. Connor Kaiser has got number one hits an hour behind double Connor Kaiser with his first major league hit. Oh boy. And it nearly took that one out of here the other way. It is the top of the ninth inning and John Curtis is looking to get the final six outs of this game two down here in the ninth, Diamondbacks get the three game sweep of the Rockies. And it’s off to Texas a historic performance by the Diamondbacks here this afternoon, nine consecutive hits in the fifth inning. The most in franchise history in all nine came with two outs.

  1. You'd think the sweep of the Rockies would have come when we had Eugenio Suarez, Josh Naylor, Randal Grichuk, and Merrill Kelly, but noooo, as soon as we trade those guys is the moment we can sweep one of the worst teams in the history of the league. The DBacks are going to miss the playoffs by a game again, aren't they?

  2. With the Mets now scuffling, AZ is not yet out of the race. Especially with 4 more games vs COL coming up. Just donโ€™t get swept by TEX beforehand.
