We got the Tampa Bay Rays headed into Sacramento, headed into Sutter Health Park to play the Athletics. You know, this Rays team is a team that’s struggling right now. You know, I do I know we just saw them win a series against the Angels this past week, but we have seen them lose the first two games of the series against the Mariners. They are finishing up uh their series against the Mariners on Sunday, but ever since, you know, returning back from the All-Star break, Tampa Bay has just not looked good. They It kind of seems like they lost a lot of their juice. I don’t know why. I think this is a team that is they’re just cold. They’re just cold. I I think at some point in the season they will heat back up and be a team that we could trust and bet on, but this is a team I’m just a little bit weary about taking right now. They really are. And they are rolling with Mr. uh Pepio, Ryan Pepio, who finally picked up a win. Pepio was on a five-game losing streak. I know that’s not totally his fault, but he was on a five-game losing streak. He finally picked up a win in his last start against the Angels. So, shout out Ryan Pepe there, but you know, he’s a guy who’s been pretty volatile as of late. Before that Angels start, he gave up seven earn against the Yankees. Then he gives up zero earn against the Reds. And then the start before that, he gave up five earn against Baltimore. So, it’s a little bit choppy. He has a good start, bad start, good start, bad start, and now he’s pitching in this ballpark in Sacramento. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan Pepe got touched up a little bit in this game. On the other hand, Jeffree Springs takes him out for the Athletics. He’s actually been pretty damn decent. I mean, in his last five starts, he has a what, a 377 RA. He’s actually been one of the more reliable guys in this athletics rotation. And look, man, the Athletics, you know, we saw them win a series against the Nationals. They had a big game two in that series against Baltimore putting up 11 runs. This is an athletics team that are they good? No. But they’re capable of beating anyone on any given night. They have the bats. They have the offensive firepower to really blow a game out of the water. So that’s the thing about the Athletics. You can never count them out. Don’t get me wrong, their pitching staff is horrific. Their bullpen is terrible. But their bats have been able to save them in a lot of games. And for this one, guys, I am going to take the athletics. I’m going to be on the Athletics on the money line here. You know, this race team, like I said, they’re they’re going to have to show me something. I want this team to heat up a little bit before I start taking them again. Whereas the Athletics, I think, could get after Ryan Pepio. This is not going to be an easy start for him pitching in this small ballpark. I believe this is the first time he has pitched in this ballpark. And uh yeah, I think the Athletics get after him.
