See guys. No reason to panic. I had faith in us coming back to win this game the WHOLE time.
*furiously deleting my past 3 comments*
brendan donovan solved his groin issue and gave me my own
Is Leahy the new Bruce Sutter? Dude routinely pitched 3 innings in relief with ice cold blood in his veins.
The relief I felt when Donny got that hit I cannot even convey
Let’s go baby
If we win tomorrow it is called a winning streak. It has happened before
Oli haters in absolute shambles
That was more fun than any Miles start this year had any right to be
Hell of a game for the local nine.
Woof one run games are really keeping this season from the abyss
Saggese picking it up at the plate, which is good to see. Hope he keeps it up.
Team is now 1-5 when Mikolas allows exactly 2 runs, and he didn’t even get the win because of poor run support.
Man I’m glad we came back. I was not gonna be happy if we managed to only score one run against the Rockies. So many chances. Geez.

Mikolas threw a great game today. He deserved the win but Gorman and Contreras really don’t like making things easy on our pitchers. Also I’m loving what I’m seeing from the bullpen since the trade deadline. Something about not having defined roles and Oli just using whoever he feels like to get outs is a nice change of pace.
This bullpen is kind of crazy. Is there a way to, like, hand Chaim the reins to everything except Mo keeps doing the “trade a mid player for a reliever who might be good” trades?
Miles down to a cool 4.97. Are we cobbling together a pitching staff?
I just finished watching the game (on a little delay) and I’m here to say that I was there to cut out the Lou Brock picture book frames from the print newspaper the day after his 3000th hit in August 1979. You could (and I did) paste the newspaper pics onto some thicker cardstock to make a little flip book to play back his swing for that milestone hit. Simple and silly I know, but a magical moment for an 8 year old.
I don’t catch the radio a ton anymore, and maybe he’s always been bad and I just didn’t give much notice but I was listening to that 7th inning in the car and Mike Claiborne is absolutely terrible at play by play, holy shit. The lack of enthusiasm is one thing, says every thing like it’s a matter of fact. But on the Rockies 2nd run was calling it like it could be a close play, watching it now Scott didn’t even look throw it his way. Brutal 3rd stringer.
Team is finding ways, just waiting on Gorman or someone else to go on a heater. Only mention him bc he’s had soome short but insane ones.
Great pitching tonight. Nice to pull it out late. Good job managing by Oli. Huge hit by Donnie. Hopefully a complete game tomorrow and cash in on scoring opportunities.
Broke: win every game like Milwaukee. Predictable, boring, no excitement in knowing the outcome. Yawn
Woke: 2025 St. Louis Cardinals. Play pretty well for first half. Go on horrible skid. Be declared dead. Sell at deadline. Then beat Dodgers in LA, Cubs at home, and go on power-of-friendship-inspired playoff push as rebuilding team
We haven’t missed Matz, Maton and Helsley.
I think it’s pretty clear at this point Gorman needs to play on the right side of the infield. He doesn’t have the arm for third. He’s still a pretty serviceable 2nd baseman though.
I miss Arenado at 3rd
