D-backs vs. Rangers Game Highlights (8/11/25) | MLB Highlights
Nathan Eovaldi on the mound. Eovaldi’s last 14 starts. This is just an incredible run in 13 of those 14. He’s allowed one or zero runs only the second time in history that that’s been done. It was Bob Gibson. He’s the only pitcher in baseball with a true four pitch mix. Perdomo pops it up left side, easy play for young and that’ll do it a 10 pitch first inning Eovaldi very crisp Nelson ready to make his 15th start of the season. Really having a stellar year also six and 3320, a, a 1.05 whip in the box for the Rangers left handed hitting Josh smith 32 and that is up the middle of base hit. What a way to start the ball game for josh smith, a 10 pitch at bat that yields a single and now the 12 pitch swing and a miss there’s a strikeout and that’s a scoreless bottom of the first turned in by Ryan Nelson. Here comes the rookie Tyler locklear five up five down for Valdi and now it’s Tyler Locklear locklear gives this one a ride to left field there. It goes gone. Tyler locklear starts us off in Texas. His second is a diamond back and they lead it one. He went one for 12 with a single and five strikeouts over the weekend against Colorado. Start against the, that’s only the sixth home run he’s given up all season. This is his 20th start. A Thomas punches one the other way that is down the line and in the corner, a fair ball for a two out homer followed by a double for Thomas Eovaldi gets the sign. He set the two swing and a miss gets him on a splitter at the bottom of the zone gets his first strikeout strong rookie campaign last year has another two pitch. Ryan Nelson is not messing around. He is coming right at the Rangers straight heat. This is Nolan Ryan type stuff. We’re in Texas after all. We’re not far from Alvin. Oh man, that’s just pure gas right there up at the top of the zone, garcia swing and a foul tip. He is down on strikes and for ryan Nelson, it is a 123 bottom of the second. He strikes out two now with two strikes on jake mccarthy still a big hole on the left side and mccarthy splits the middle right between Seeger and Young. It’s in left center. Jake take for second play on and he is in there a hustle double for Jake mccarthy. That’s three extra base hits for the Diamondbacks so far he’s in scoring position to start the third for Corbin Carroll. Corbin Carroll hits it in the air down the line in right and this one is off the pole and gone for a home run. The second diamond back home run off Eovaldi and it’s three nothing defense. That thing clanged high off the foul pole in the right field corner. It’s a new career high for Corbin. That’s number 26. Looks like he got hit by the pitch. Marte is going to stay in the game. So here’s Geraldo Perdomo switch hitter batting from the left side. This one swung on and that’s it to deep, right. And she’s gonna fly as well. Oh, man, it’s a home run derby here in Arlington Perdomo his 12th of the season and they are just blowing the doors off. Valdi, it’s 50 in the third. That was just a line shot, a laser right into the right field bleachers. I mean, they are slugging the ball and he’s hit his second batter as the fastball gets away. He hit Marte earlier in this inning and now Cast takes one for the team. Now the pitch locklear swing and a flare down the right field line that is going to fall for a base hit. Del Castillo makes the turn around second. He heads into third and another hit for the D backs. They triple away from hitting for the cycle in this inning and it is going to bring up Alec Thomas strikes out Thomas for the second out of the inning. Runners remain at the corners and that brings up bouncer up the middle Seeger has it underhand it to Simon that does in the inning, but the Diamondbacks played four runs on a couple of homers. Rangers got to score at least six runs to win this and Rangers haven’t been putting up a lot of offensive production lately. The one on and hammered up the alley. Josh Young up to second base as he continues to swinging a hot stick. Rangers are the leadoff double here. The third and to what degree Nelson challenges Seeger with first base open. First pitch curveball hit down the right field line. It’s a fair ball hits the chalk and rolls to the corner. The 30 scores, corey up to second two out double. The Rangers on the board doesn’t have to come with one swing and a hanging breaking ball helps the Rangers get their first run of the game two outs bottom of the third secret. Second, the 1 to 2 pitch Sabian swing and a foul tip. He is down on strikes. The inning comes to an end. Rangers, a pair of doubles, they get one, there’s one away in the six lanes. Alexander and Blaze sends one pretty deep left field. This has got some carry to it and it’s gone. Blaze. Alexander sends one the other way out of here over the head of Smith in left. It’s 1/4 diamond back home run blaze has been swinging just a wicked hot bat ever since he started getting those everyday reps at third base. So here’s Smith with Seeger and Simeon to follow that in the air right field. Carroll on the run to the alley. That one is down and rolls to the wall. Smith will have an easy double leadoff double for Josh smith and the Rangers trying to cook something up here’s Seeger. That one’s down base hit Smith around third while waving to the plate. It’s an RB I single by Seeger. He’s driven in both Rangers runs and it’s 6 to 2. The Rangers now have them on the quarters for Langford. Langford zero for two strikeout and a fly out. There’s a swing and that’s a blast foul. My couldn’t way up there near the rocking chairs and there’s a swing and a drive deep out to left and it gets the Rangers to win one. Sometimes all you need of an indication of how a player swinging. It is a foul ball. He blasted that foul ball. He was right on it. He gets a heater middle and he punishes it to left field. Alec Thomas. The hitter, Alec doubled in the second into the left field corner against Nathan Eovaldi. Alec tries to bloop one down that line in left and it lands in there for a hit and boy smith just barely reached out and got it. And alex at second, if that had gotten by him, he might have gone all the way around. I think you’re right. Well, he came with an eyelash and missing that one. Smith and very short left the 12 and a swing and a miss, he got him. Alexander strikes out two away the pitch and that is right at the bottom of the zone, strike three called well placed cutter by Sean Armstrong and he catches mccarthy looking for the final out of the innings. Andrew Hoffman remains in the pitch here and should he hold on here? It would be his first big league save Rowdy Telez. First up. Rowdy tonight zero for three. There’s a swing and a drive deep out to right is gone to it in the ninth. Such a big swing from rowdy man. He puts a charge in this one to tie it up in the ninth and we go to the bottom of the 10th. We’re tied at six. The winning run at third base. Jake Berger will be announced as the pinch hitter for 12 and there’s a swing and that one of it stays fair ends it and the Rangers win it in the 10th, maybe the most unlikely comeback of the year and they beat the Diamondbacks 7 to 6 to open the series biggest comeback in a year.

1st 6/1 comeback since last Sept. Damn it Jim……..
โWeโre not far from Alvinโ
You are 4.5 hours from Alvin.
This game was wild and what's wild is that even though Evo gave up the 5 runs, he found a way to battle and kept his team in it. Plus his ERA is still in the 1s which is crazy. The bats need to start picking it up though because we cant waste our pitching and defense down the stretch. You're 2.5 games out of the wild card and 6.5 out of the division. Im not sure if you're gonna catch the Astros, but crazier things have happen.
We needed that win way to go Rangers hell of a game.
After that 4 game losing streak…
Man the fans needed this one.
Humongous way to start the 2023 World Series rematch
Evo can give up however many runs but battle to get a much needed win when he needs to
I thought the thunderstorm wasn't supposed to get here until Tuesday?
Whoa. I can see myself in the stands at 6:00 on the shot of that deep Langford foul ball before he hit the bomb lol
Commentators curse is real "that's only his 6th Homer given up all season" 1:28
LFG Rangers!
61 down, 29 to go!
Rowdy is such a weapon off the bench
Great to see the offense pick up Evo after he's picked them up all year. One game at a time, let's win the series tomorrow.
Gutsy dub by the boys today!!๐ช๐๐
Now lets clinch the series tomorrow!
LET'S FREEKIN GOOOO RANGERS!!!๐.. …. ….
Rangers can't afford getting swept anymore. Need more wins like this with more hitters contributing.
Evo struggled but kept his team within striking distance. They have got to find a way to keep scoring runs. Come on Rangers!!!
Good work Rangers keep the good work up Rangers.
Damnnnnn yay๐
This game was electric in person
That was Game 1 of 2023 all over again for Arizona. Love it for my Rangers tho!
I think maybe you should try Josh Smith at closer.
I chose WWE over this game because I watched some of it and I thought it was over…moral of the story: make better decisions than me kids.
I was there and the rangers put me through every possible emotion , but it was a hell of a ride !
Evo in RARE form but they backed him up.
Watching this was a roller coaster of emotions for us Rangers fans
God bless texas & God bless the texas rangers! ๐
So what happened with Evo? 5 homers all year and then 3 in one game? Seemed like some of his pitches just hung in the sweet spot. Velocity? Location? Now I am wondering if fatigue is catching up to both Evo and deGrom.
Go Rangers!
LETS GO RANGERSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Joc celebrating Rowdy's HR with Bochy by slapping his belly ๐๐
Go Rangers
Man the commentator cursed poor evo hard todayโฆ
I love Eovaldi but the second they mentioned him in the same breath as Bob Gibson I knew this was gonna be bad.. never gave up though!
0:53 why Jocโs bat
So slow? Looks worse than my golf swing somehow..
criminal they didn't include Maton's masterpiece in the highlights
Hate that Jonah shows 0 emotion after Langford bomb @ 6:28
