Tampa Bay Rays vs Athletics (08-11-25) MLB Game Predictions, Picks and Best Bets
[Music] 965 966. We’ve got Ryan Pepa and the Rays at even money. Jeffrey Springs and the Athletics at – 110. Total of 9 and a half. Some juice to the over at minus 115. Be up. I ended up taking Pepois 6ks at plus 106. This is a number he’s hit in nine out of his last 12 starts. He’s hit 6Ks. Typically when that’s the case, this would be 7Ks minus 125. That’s typ certain when you look at like sort of a Nick Paveta uh type trend in the pricing here. Hitting this number 9 out of 12 times against an A’s team with nothing to play for. Give me the plus 6Ks at this. The price is right for me at plus 106. What do you think in this game? Bdub Rays Athletics. I think that’s a good play. His stuff plus is 97th percentile. You know where he struggles is his location plus 6 percentile. Has he been able to translate it to a median strikeout percentage 21.7 a little bit better than average but but not much? This is a weird game. You know, you have the 29th bullpen because the Athletics they got rid of a couple pieces and and it it hurt them. So they’re 29th versus the Rays bullpen which is third in baseball. So maybe it’s one of those things that if you have to play this game, and I don’t know why you would have to, but if you do, maybe you go Oakland first, uh, you know, double result first five and then Tampa to win the game. I think that that might be an idea for everybody out there. Yeah, I think that makes sense. Kenny Ally, you know, the big dog behind the stick, says, “Invisible men never have a good ending. It’s a power too easily corrupted.” It’s a very corruptible, dirty power, isn’t it? the invisibility and and plus too to to beatubs like you know thinking of like the the example Bub gave it’s like okay I I I had a choice to pick any superpower and I picked the power and what did I get out of it all I all I did was uh I learned all the things I was worried people thought about me were actually true and it’s like that’s that’s not good that’s that’s truth matters stealing lots of good stuff I think if you can if you understand the truth that really helps you out in life plus I mean if you go invisible You can I mean you can steal cash. I would steal cash too if I wasn’t going to the bank. So then that that takes care of one of the problems. And uh yeah, I I mean I don’t know. I I I think that sometimes, you know, understanding people’s is important. You know, everybody freaking slants the truth. But if you just they don’t see you, they’re going to be like that mother, you know, say like that guy just I can’t say that You know, it just feels like a scene in the movie. You’re gonna be invisible and the sad music’s gonna play and then like the person you love the most is gonna say something awful and then you’re going to be crying behind the door and it’s going to cut scene and go to commercial. We’re like, is this show dead? Right. That’s what’s going to happen. Now what? Yeah. Now what? Now we’re all just sad. Okay. Uh speaking of this game now, uh raise athletics. I took the pep 6ks. What do you like of this one? A’s raise. Yeah, I mean, nothing real earthshattering here. I think it’s I I’ve just been sort of tracking this guy’s prices on like a game-to-ame basis. He’s been like plus 220 to hit a home run, especially against righties for the last couple of weeks, and his total base prices have been terrible. Um, and I looked this morning and it’s the first time I’ve seen him like anywhere near even money, uh, especially against the righties. So, just riding the hot bat here. Nick Curtz over one and a half total bases. Uh, we got that at minus 104. I mean, that just that feels fine. If I’m getting curds at minus 104 for two bases against the righty, I’m just going to continue to play it. Yeah, I completely agree. And uh Jack Faulk brings up a great point. Being invisible would allow you to do some pretty epic pranks to friends and family. I mean, you would be able to scare the out of people. You’d be able to do some fun just the old chair pull, right? You could just walk into the bank and wait for some, you know, pompous ass to sit down. You don’t know who they are. You just yank the chair. You could just watch people fall down all day long, which would be kind of funny. Or at restaurants, right? You could grab like stuff off people’s plates and just throw food at people’s face and they have no idea who’s throwing it that thing. I mean, you could do a lot of stuff. Uh non-creepy stuff. I don’t know why we went. We could do some non-creepy stuff with the business. Interesting. That’s the first thing you think of. Oh, if I was invisible, I’d be a creep, you know? It’s like, no. Well, I just feel like the potential for creepiness is very, very high. That’s it’s when I like I want to see someone’s face like when they tell me they want to be invisible like what are your plan just like when I get on an airplane I I want to look into the eyes of my pilot and make sure you’re not depressed because that guy’s depressed it’s way too easy right way too easy that’s the pilot of the plane I want to see into your soul and know that you are happy uh but for purposes of the show we’re locking in I’m taking Ryan Papua 6ks plus 106 Kenny’s going to take Nick Curts over one and a half total bases We got that at minus 104.
