Dave and Kenny are fantastic. To anyone who isnt familiar with them due to being the radio guys, they are a great successor to Sam and Joe.
One of the funnier clips was Dave Maloney (the color guy) interrupting Kenny Albert (the PxP guy) to call a goal, because he was that into it. Cant member when it was exactly, im sure someone else here knows the clip im talking about. I believe it was in the 23-24 season.
One of the greatest live sports memories I have will never forget how we all erupted and then looking down and seeing the dogpile against the glass.
Kenny is easily one of the Top 3 hockey PxP guys right now and Dave is a treasure, he loves the Rangers so much. Vince had him on his podcast earlier in the offseason and it was a great listen. Watching games with Kenny and Dave is gonna be like watching a game with a GOAT and your old great uncle.
Really gonna miss Sam and Joe but couldn’t have asked for a better replacement than Kenny and Dave.
This has given me mixed emotions, not over the announcing, mostly over the fact that my brother met Laffy in Ocean Beach this summer and he could not have been a more insufferable douche canoe and it makes it difficult for me to want to cheer for him to get back to this post season level of play form again because of just how big of a dick he was.
The tremendous hustle from Fox and Laf to join Trocheck and Panarin in the zone and score that second goal!
Hot take. I always preferred these guys to Sam and Joe.
God, we’re gonna miss Kreids in the playoffs.
I also don’t think that OT2 powerplay happens if Troch isn’t still trying to keep the play alive rather than looking at the refs and pleading.
