  1. I posted this in another thread earlier today, but it still holds:

The Cubs offense is DEAD. It’s passed on! This offense is no more! It has ceased to be! It’s expired and gone to meet its maker! It’s a stiff! Bereft of life, it rests in peace! If you hadn’t nailed ‘em to the lineup card it’d be pushing up the daisies! Its metabolic processes are now history! It’s off the twig! It’s kicked the bucket, it’s shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-OFFENSE!!

  2. Boy, I’ve watched a lot of depressing White Sox baseball in recent years but the Marquee broadcast sounded fucking bleak those last 2 innings

  3. Why does the cubs entire offense slump all at the same time? Doesn’t matter the year, the players, the coaches. We always do this shit

  4. This offense has been trash since the all star break. Screw the “Pay Tucker” comments until the dude learns to hit

  5. this team blows and is boring to watch. haven’t watched in a week now and can’t until it gets better or completely explodes

  6. If Kyle Tucker pulls down a $500 million contract, I will allow u/swishmon to give me one good full-force punch to my balls.

  7. Doom away, my babies!

This team couldn’t smooth a silk sheet if they had a hot day with a babe…

  8. the team hasnt won a game in which they trailed in over a month which is honestly incredible

  9. How damn appropriate that the game ends by one of our batters attempting to position himself to take a shit on his own face.

  10. I think the thing with the Brewers has gotten into the heads of these guys. The offense was puttering for a bit but before the ASB they took 2/3 from the Yankees away and 2/3 from the Red Sox. They collectively are all pressing way too hard

  11. Crazy how we have the second best run differential in baseball by a pretty wide margin as our lead in the wild card starts to dwindle.

  12. The Brewers are absolutely in their heads. I mean, they’ve been in our heads too. Every loss seems magnified because the Brewers are playing some of the best baseball I’ve seen in my life. But there’s nothing we can do about that. But this has got to be part of the reason. It’s mind blowing that the veterans on this team would allow that to happen, but it has. This is a team that looks defeated and helpless. Emotionless, half-hearted baseball is the worst baseball to watch. For me, the season ended on Sunday Night when they just gave that game to the Cardinals in a must-win situation. It’s going to be a long couple of months if this is the mental toughness (or lack thereof) that this team possesses.

  13. You know its bad when even PCA shows zero emotion and just wears an Ian Happ face all game long. No fire here …no leaders
