Boston Red Sox vs Houston Astros – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 12, 2025 MLB Season

tonight. First pitch from Eric Getty to Roman Anony’s off the plate. We’re underway. Anthony one of four lefties in the lineup. Some of those hitters. Breman goes after the first pitch. Skies it to center field. Pretty deep, but back there is Jacob Melton. Jacob getting tested right away. Makes that play fairly easily. Story sends one into shallow center. Coming on Melton going back. Raone has the play. Ground ball to the right side. Shawn Dubin coming on the roster as well. There’s a ground ball to end the inning. Long hold. There goes Pñena. Swinging a miss. No throw on the strikeout. Pñena picks up his 17 steel. That’ll be a popup on the infield. First baseman Abraham Toro is there. Got him with the fast ball up. May picks up a couple of strikeouts in the first inning getting Koreah for his first and Sanchez to end the inning. This one to the right side where Raone Aras will make the play to get Toro for the first out of the inning. Be up in the booth at some point over the weekend. This ball into shallow left. Long run for Taylor, but he’ll have time to get there. That’s a good inning for Spencer Eraetti. Flipped a little bit as he gets Taylor Tra with the sweeper for the Ground ball. Nice backhand play. Bregman his throw low and Toro can’t come up with it. Yiner Diaz will get to third. That was a great play by Bregman and Toro couldn’t come up with a short hop on the low throw. And he dotted him up on the outside corner. May pretty fired up. He is screaming after his second inning of shutout baseball. Fielder who signed a long-term deal with the Red Sox. And he draws his second walk of the night. Backto back walks. Four walks in the game. Don’t see the ball for very long out of the hand. Pop up shallow center. So shallow Jeremy Pñena will make the play. Infield fly rules called. Everybody stays at their bases. Fouled. That pitch off. And they’re going to say a hit by pitch. They’re going to say a hit by pitch that scores a run. [Applause] That sounded like it hit the bat, but apparently got him on the hand. Masataka Yoshida sends one to center. Plenty deep to score a run. Back on a Melton. He’ll make the catch, tagging at third. Roman Anthony. He’ll cross the plate. It’s a two nothing game Red Sox. There goes the runner. Pitch is down. The throw. Good one, but not quite in time. Story now 20 for 20. Toro’s second home run against the Astros this year. Hits this ball pretty well to center. A playable for Jacob Bell. He’s going back on it and makes the play for the final out. Two-run score after a base is loaded, nobody out. And it’s a two nothing Red Sox lead. Ground ball slowly hit. Bregman will charge. Goes to second in a hurry. And that allows him to turn a double play on Koreah. Nicely done by Bregman to get that double play started quickly. [Applause] [Music] Good job reading that ball off the bat for Alex. But Sanchez puts it in play this time and pops it up. Trevor Story is there and that’ll be the final out of the inning. One hit, one walk, one left. We head the fourth. Oh yeah, right there. Raphael doesn’t pull the trigger on an 02 pitch that had plenty of the plate for the first down of the inning as Spencer tried to hold off and he goes too far. That’ll be a strikeout for Eric Getty. He gets his first two of the game in this inning and that’ll do it for the Red Sox in the fourth. Still a two nothing game. I think it’s Kryptonite, but that’s okay. Oh, swinging a miss. Down goes Christian Walker. That was a Superman versus Batman, wasn’t it? I was waiting for you guys to jump all over them. That’s a fast ball for a called strike. Shal down on strikes for the second time. That’s seven strikeouts overall for Dustin May at a 1, two, three, four. If he can finish off five, he’ll take it. That’s a short hop pick by Oras. How smooth is that guy with a glove? That was slick. Got him. Good finish for Spencer Aragetti. still only allowed one hit through five innings. That’s a tough pitch. 96 right on the black for a called third. Eight strikeouts for May. One out in the fifth. In play left center field, running over from center is Durant. He calls off Roman Anthony. And that’s the second out of the inning. Shattered his bat. Slowly hit. Breman will make the offbalance throw in time to get his former partner on the left side of the infield to the final out of the inning. One hit. That ball crushed to left field and this ball’s into the Crawford boxes. Line drive home run by Narvayz. The rookie catcher has his 10th of the year and he has turned a two nothing game into a five nothing game with that three-run home run with two outs here in the sixth. That ball hit pretty well to right. Going towards the corner is Sanchez. And he’ll watch that one hit the foul pole. Two-run home run for Bregman. And just like that, a two nothing game has become 7 nothing as the Red Sox doing all this damage with two outs. That one is smothered there by Christian Walker who will get to the bag himself. Damage done. Five runs all coming with two outs. It’s Coner was kind of ready for it. Punches it into left center coming on Anthony. He’ll make the catch in front of Durant for the final out of the inning. [Applause] That’ll be his 13th walk as he loses the left-hand hitter Yoshida into right field. Moving back on it, Sanchez and he will make the play on the warning track. Both runners tag. Only one will advance. Story goes to third and sped. He smokes one to center. Going back on it Melton. That’s over his head and off the wall. In to score easily as Story being held at third is Yoshida. That’ll be ground ball knocked down by Kareah. Stays with it and makes the play on Raphaela. Little tapper playable for Aras. He’ll take his time with the catcher running and make a good throw to end the inning. Seattle continuing to play great baseball. That is gloved by Toro. Steps on the bag and the tag needed to be made. That’s not a force play. And they’re going to say the tag was made by Trevor Story for the final out of the inning. Joe Aspat is not 100% sure and he may review this, but apparently a double play to end the inning. Another three ball count to Anthony who skies this one into center. That one is tagged. All the way back goes Melton and that ball is gone into that little party area beyond center field. Not many end up there, but Roman Anthony on backto back nights with a home run. Home run on the season came at Fenway this year against Gordon. And this one delivered into left for a base hit. Coming in to score is Durant. It’s now a double-digit game for the Red Sox. 10 nothing Boston. Somebody down there with a Clorox wipe. Just doesn’t look very comfortable. This one into left field and that’s a tough play. TL cannot make it. He went into that hard wall and he is down for now. Hopefully he’s okay. That’ll be a double for a Breu off the left center field wall. Taylor gave it a great effort. Got him to end the inning. Colton strikes out two, but damage done and the lead is now a dozen for Boston. Jeremy Pñena, the highlight for the Astros tonight, drives one to left center field. It’s in the air for a while though and Durant makes an gets an opportunity to put it away. So Durant helps Moran as he makes that play in left center in front of the rest of the bullpen. Time to look it up, I would imagine. Oh, this could be a Fraggy shoot. Fraggy spo any fun the Astros fans could have tonight. 12. Oh no. Sharon Durant hit by a 68 mph pitch and Chaz has loaded up the bases. Oh, Chaz can start a double play. A little bit of a wide throw. That’s not going to be a turn. Chaz has never had to make a throw from the infield before. This is something when they go over in the pitchers meeting the Chaz will learn from. 14- nothing. We’ll head to the bottom of the ninth. And Raone Aras against the Red Sox. 150 at bats or more, but it didn’t work here. Fragman to second. Wide throw. And that one’s going to score the Astros first run. Hard last time, but fly out to deep center. And this one will end the game. Trevor Story. And that’s the end of tonight’s story. 14-1 all Red Sox. [Applause]

  1. Once again, brilliant job getting all of the useless outs and going out of your way to not show how the guys got on base…What country are you from?

  2. May looking nice!! They tweaked his cutter and got him using a new pitch mix and it clearly worked well! If he can pitch even half that good the rest of the way we’ll be in great shape
