[Folk] NBA Scouts rank the Raptors prospects – Raptors Republic

Super interesting. Clear top tier of CMB / Gradey / Ja’Kobe, interesting to see Gradey above Ja’Kobe.
Most interesting thing to me is Chomche at #4! Man would I love to see him hit.
Super interesting article, one of the scouts having gradey above kon is a good reminder of how high his potential is and validates how important I think he could be to this team specifically.
Reading each one, a kind of consistent throughline seems to be that while the Raptors are a young team, these scouts don’t seem to be big fans of their potential (outside of CMB and one scout who’s super high on Gradey).
I think I broadly agree. I think CMB can really be great if his shot gets to a decent level, but Gradey’s shooting has yet to come around and he needs to make such a huge jump defensively that I’m not sure if he becomes a positive value player on a good team. Jakobe could become a decent role player I think and has a good floor for his outcomes. Chomche a backup big. I don’t really think the rest (outside of Battle as a situational shooter) have long term roles in the league.
I hope Shead does cause I like his personality, but that scout was right. He was really bad defensively last year and that’s supposed to be his calling card.
