FULL INNING: Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado fuel the Padres’ SEVEN-RUN 2nd inning 💪
And for Merrill, his ninth home run of the year. Looks the fly ball to left. Ramos coming in, diving to make the catch. Nice play. Elliot Ramos knocking that one down. Hey, left field is a popular place in this day game early on. Lauraniano getting a workout and then Ramos with the back hand. That’s not an easy play. You know what’s impressive here? Across his body and the tuck and roll. Yeah, that’s how you do it. Quickly up to his feet and his pants. Well, his pants. His right pant leg. It’s like halfway up his thigh. I think that’s a look he’s after. Yeah, he’s going to go higher. Yeah, he is. Let’s go higher. It’s like the White Socks that one. You’re back in 76 when they wear the shorts. Think [Applause] that helps the strike zone? What do you think that’s for? I you know what? I think that’s I think that’s a fugazi wife’s tail. Oh, you wear your pants a certain length, you get the heist. Yeah. Umpire’s Oh, let’s check his inseam. Oh, okay. Your pants are I’m going to I’m going to call that a strike. I’m going to call it a ball. I mean, they’re not looking at the pants. The umpires, right? They’re looking at the ball crossing the plate. So, you think it’s a fashion thing? Yeah, I think so. Xander’s got his uh hyped up as well. Not as high as No, not as high. In there for a strike on a three- 0 pitch to Xander Bogurts. Batting with one out and the base is empty here with Ryan O’Harn waiting on deck. Padres’s bat visiting half of the second inning. And that’s ball four. Second walk allowed by Tang. Time now for our Coors Light beating the pressure. Best record since July 26th. Andre are 13 and3. The Brewers are 14 and two. On fire. Yeah. And hopefully that continues because we talked about the schedule. Well, first things first today, but uh coming up the next couple weeks, that’s huge to be playing like the Padres’s are playing. How about the Brewers winning 11 straight? It’s unbelievable. On fire, right? Girts with the lead at first, one down here in the second inning. Hearn getting a start at first base. and have a lead today. 6-3 at home in the fifth inning against the Pirates. O’Harn hits one high and deep to right down the line headed towards the pole and it’ll be a foul ball. Thought that had a chance. Remember we’ve mentioned it many times only 309 but then it jets out 365. You can be a little bit quick, but being short down there, yeah, you might uh bounce it off that fair pole down and in. And Bailey had the look of a guy who’s going to fire down to first base with that front door closed, trying to use the hitter as a shield. 25th pitch coming up here for Tang first and checking on Xander who’s back to the bag safely. Do you know in Taiwan uh from where Tank’s from in Taiwan during the games pitcher starting pitcher you go out for the inning you only get three warm-ups. I like that. Two outs you start playing catch in front of your own dugout before you go out to the hill. saves time. Yeah. To left. This one will be dropped in front of Ramos. And O’Harn has the first Padres’s hit today. First and second with one away. Oh, he’s got so much movement, right? Sometimes if he wants to go inside, it’s going to leak over the middle of the plate. And Ryan fights this one off nicely. A little lob wedge to left button for birdie. First and second, one out here in the second inning for Raone Lauraniano. All right, Don, in our open, we talked about bottom of the order. Here we go. Number seven hitter. Got some RBI opportunities here. You know, we mentioned the the additions for the Padres’s have made a big difference down here. But you know what, Jake Croninworth hitting down here has made a big difference, too. Huge. He’s got some pop in his bat. If he starts going the other way, just avoiding strikeouts, it’s going to play huge and contribute to that bottom of the lineup. Nothing wrong with batting eight or ninth, especially in situations like this. You get on, it’s an RBI opportunity. [Applause] Swinging a miss came out of his shoes with that fast ball. [Applause] Hey, Tang’s a big kid. 6’4″, 241. He’s got a good pitcher’s body. Big legs, big shoulders, strong. [Applause] I understand. Also, he dropped a few lbs from last year as well. He’s in shape. Works out. Yeah. One, two, is fouled off to the right. out of play. Hit up mlbshop.com for the largest and latest selection of jerseys, caps, hoodies, and accessories to keep you in the game all year long. Gear up, game on at mlbshop.com, the official online shop of your San Diego Padres’s. Fouled off to the right, out of play. See what Raone’s trying to do right there. Trying to shoot that ball to the right side like he does so well. When he does that, that’s going to be a run for San Diego. Two balls, two strikes to Lauriano. Four seamer sweeper. Sweeper change. Even though it’s a four seamer, it’s got some run to it. Movement is very, very key. 93 94 on that four seam fast. Popped up foul off to the right out of play. And this is another thing bottom of the lineup, any hitter really, you start fighting off pitches, foul balls, get that pitch count up, that that’s going to do great things for your lineup. The Jade coming up with Jay Cronorth who we were just talking about waiting on deck out of the eighth spot in the order. Nice. Three balls, two strikes here to Lauriano with Bogarts at second, O’Harn at first, one away in the Padres’s second inning. reaches out, pokes it, foul off to the right, out of play. Pitch 35 coming up for Tang. Runners go and that is in the dirt for ball four. Third walk given up by Tang. Loads the bases. [Applause] Great patience right there. He was in the hole one and two. Work the walk to load him up. JP Martinez headed to the mound here, the pitching coach. Time now for stats with Lowe’s. Longest active on base streaks. Jake Cronorth is 17 and Dominic Smith of these Giants with 15. Don mentioned a little bit ago batting eighth. He’s quietly doing a good job down there. That part of the order once again RBI opportunity. Uh during the open we talked about 789 and one of the categories if I remember correctly on that graphic was runners in scoring position. I got a couple right now. We have the bases loaded here and one out in the second inning. 244. Nine homers, 41 runs batted in for Jake. Swinging to that first offering and grounding it foul outside of first. Start him off with a yaker horse. Gone two for eight in the series with a couple of RBI’s. [Applause] Wonder if hitting down in the order is taking any pressure off him at all. Could be too. Yeah, it’s a valid point. No doubt. [Applause] You just got to think whole field right here in a situation like this. Bases loaded. Pops it up foul off to the left, you know. Sure. Something middle in soft. Yeah. Turn on it. Try to do some damage. Hard stuff away. Try to spank it that way. There is a big hole, a shortstop in 5.5 area as Chapman is off the bag at third. Look at that big hole right there between short and third. Foul back. We’ll do it again. And battle continues. I think he’s been able to get two strikes on some guys. Been having trouble putting guys away. Lauriano. I want to correct I’m going to correct myself. Casey Schmidt at third base this afternoon. I apologize to the Schmidt family watching. Uh who’ you have? I had Matt Chapman. Get in there. Jam job. Hits the back. Gets up in center from third comes Bogards. Here comes O’Harn. Throw will go to third. It’s off the mark and the Padres’s take a two nothing lead. You never know what’s going to happen when it hits the bag. And that one ends up in center. Is this beautiful or what? You know that the Padres’s are playing right. Things are going their way when Jake Croner gets jammed. Sounded like broke his challe. And the ball hits the bag. [Applause] Change of direction. Wow, that’s awesome. [Applause] First and third now. Still just one out in the inning. And here’s Elias Diaz squaring to bunt. A safety squeeze try there and takes it for a ball. Sweeper. The sun has poked through here and burned off some of the clouds. Little more sunshine. Lauriano at third. Cronorth crossed the diamond at first. No bunt showing there by Diaz. And he’ll take ball two. I love the patience of the pottery hitters also recently. No problem passing it on to the next guy. 42 pitches already here for Tag in an inning into third. Good take. Three and 0. [Music] [Applause] [Applause] Three pitch here to the number nine man. Taken all the way and taking a strike at 92. 30 pitches this inning. 14 in the first. Look out. That’s ball four. And he walks Diaz. Third walk of this inning, fourth walk of the outing. Pods have to take advantage of this in the second inning. You got that right. [Applause] And once again, bottom of the order starting with O’Harn six. We we’ll include Ryan everybody this inning after the quick out from Jackson. Right. Walk single walk single walk. Some slug right here would be nice. [Applause] Ball one in a dandy. [Applause] Seventh member of the Padres’s to bat here in the second inning as Fernando takes the strike over the inside edge. Was a sinker that time from Tang. [Applause] fouled off for strike two. Getting two strikes has not been a problem for Tang. It’s just after that trying to put guys away is had a tough time. He had Jake one and two, he had Lauriano one and two. [Applause] up the middle into center field. Base hit for Fernando. Lauriano will score. Here comes Croninorth. Two runs in and the Padres’s take a four nothing lead. Fernando driving in a pair. That’s playing Pepper right up the center of the diamond. It’s a high sinker. Gets on top of it. Tang can’t get to it. He tries for the reach there and it finds the hole. Diaz right in front of him. He’s going to take that 90 ft. Oh, it’s looking good here in the second inning. Padres’s up at this point dropping the quadro. Fly ball headed out towards right field and back is Gilbert to make the catch on Arise. Back to first goes Fernando tagging at third and scoring is Diaz and the Padres’s take a five nothing lead. Sack fly for a rise. [Applause] Baseball baseball getting a pitch up in the zone elevating it. And once again with that wind, the higher you hit it, the deeper it’s going to be. No problem for the tag right there for Diaz. [Applause] 50 pitches now for Tang. Ninth member of the Padres’s to bat here in the inning is Manny Machado. [Applause] Manny grounded out to short in the first. 0 for one. cranks it. Foul off to the right. Out of play. Ball and a strike. Up in the pen is Spencer Bivvens. as Tank struggles in the second inning. Line to left field. Ramos will get to this one. It’s back to the track and the wall heading for third as this ball gets away. Fernando will now head home and scores. It’s six to nothing. Donnie, I think we just witnessed a a uh a Manny Ramirez out and left. What Ramos did with that ball when he got to it. First of all, off the bat, this ball is scalded. This ball is hit really well. 106 off the bat. Now, as Ramos goes for this and left, watch this throw right here. Oh, spiked it. Pulled the Manny Ramirez. And Fernando’s all over it. He’s got to shift down lower gear and he scores easily. And the Padres’s have put a six spot on the board here in the second inning on top 6 nothing. Pitching change from San Francisco. Six to nothing. The Padres’s have the lead. That’s the score on our UC San Diego health scoreboard. That pitcher is Spencer Bibbons into the game here. Well, it’s been a little fuzzy for the right-hander. Last 10 appearances 0 and one with a nine in a rate. Nine almost nine and a half to be exact. Jackson Merrill with a base hit to left field stopping at third is Machado. Padres’s have runners at the corners. They have batted around already and have scored six runs in the inning. Swinging early. Hey, if you get a pitch up like that in the zone, why not hack at it? something Jackson has done so well. You know, the home run the other day, the double the other way, left center field gap, this one to the left side. First and third now with two down in the inning for Xander Bogarts. He walked earlier in the inning. This will get away off the glove of Bailey. And from third base comes Machado. Throw is not good and gets away. Padres’s lead it seven to nothing. This is pretty ugly right now for the San Francisco Giants. Yeah, that’s a perfect way of putting it right there. Wow. Well, here’s the pitch. That’s very catchable. That’s got to be a pass ball right there. Is that a toss up or something? He was very late to react. Yeah, I I I really couldn’t tell you. No runner on second base. Don’t know what the uh the buttons as far as the pitch count is concerned. Any way you look at it, yard sale and the the Padres’s are buying everything. It’s second base. The pitch in their first strike now to Xander Bogarts. They’re getting great deals at this yard sale. Some things are giving away free. 40th appearance of the year. Yeah, the high ERA popped up foul off to the right out of play. [Applause] Usually when the Padres score four or more, really good things happen. In fact, uh they are 49 and 15, scoring four or more runs. Here are the Brewers again on top in another category. Softly lined to center field. Lee coming in. He’ll make the catch. It will put an end to the inning. And what an inning it was. Padres gets seven runs. All starts with Croninworth hitting it off the bag at second. That would play two and get the scoring started. You never know where it’s going to go. 7 nothing San Diego.
Jake Cronenworth, Fernando Tatis Jr., Luis Arraez and Manny Machado highlight the San Diego Padres’ seven-run 2nd inning against the San Francisco Giants on August 13, 2025!

Yard Sale and the Padres are buying everything😂

Nothing agaisnt Elias Diaz the new Padres Catcher but I have no idea why they chose him over Maldanado and released him, he's a Veteran with a ton of playing time . Figure they would need a Clubhouse guy like that for a Playoff run.
Padres cant have another first round exit
Padres looking scary
So SP-K.Teng walks 3 batters in the 2nd,4 in 2 complete innings throwing 50 pitches,14 in the first 37 in the second and you replace him with RP-S.Bivens who has even worst numbers with and ERA of 9?????Bob Melvin is terrible……..
