Found this article fascinating, had no idea that there were Knicks fans banned from home games just for working for law firms that have gone to court against James Dolan.

  1. I don’t know, it’s extremely shitty but I don’t think it’s illegal. Right to refuse service is a thing

  2. It’s strange that so many billionaires have the most fragile egos imaginable.

I’ve heard of someone being banned from a concert at The Forum here in LA , when it was owned by MSG, because they criticized Dolan in some capacity.

  3. Is there any new information here or is this just the ESPN/NBA doing a hit piece against an owner leading the anti-expansion movement?

Note that I’m not defending Dolan, I’m just curious as to the timing and motive.

  4. Billionaire man child uses money power to ban people he doesn’t like for no reason? Color me shocked. He’ll fit right in in DC

  5. They aren’t just banned from Knicks games, but from a bunch of other MSG owned venues. It is bullshit.

  6. If they get a government subsidy (no property taxes) they should be required to be a free speech zone almost no different than a public street. Kick out racism or homophobia but not asking the owner to sell or litigating against the corporation that owns the venue

    Sell the team, Dolan.

  7. There’s a reason why only one NBA franchise went out of their way to have a massive Trump party this election season and it came in the “most liberal city in America.”

There’s a reason why employees get treated poorly under Dolan’s history of running businesses and why fans have been banned for criticizing him.

Dolan perfectly represents the extreme wealthy American that believes he can and will do anything he wants, will mistreat anyone he wants with said power, and will laugh while profiting more than ever for doing it.

  8. James Dolan treats Madison Square Garden like his diary, if you write something he doesn’t like, you’re out.

  9. Well, that’s what they get for not buying JD and the Straight Shot albums

  10. Dolan’s biggest plus in recent years is that he stopped being involved in the teams decision making and handed it over to more experienced people.

The only reason that happened was because before the last few years he was the most notoriously bad owner, to the point that people in media where calling him out and his shininagans started getting national attention.

Watch as soon as the Knicks win a chip or even get close to a championship he’s gonna start with his old shit again. The guy seems like a genuine sociopath.

  11. James Dolan is not a good man. So like 95% of all sports owners. Thanks for this hard-hitting expose ESPN.
