This was SCARY and weird as hell
That is such a weird play and obviously I hope he’s doing all right. It started with Jeff McNeel stealing second base, but Francisco Lindor was still on second base. So he took off toward third. The throw came over from first and the Angels pitcher went down and then Lindor ran home and scored. The ball got loose. What happened with the Angels pitcher? Well, that was Chase Silv. And that throw from first to third clipped him in the side of the head. And so the whole team was out there checking on him.
I’ve attended more than 2,000 MLB games, and this is one of the strangest plays that I have EVER seen! This was filmed in 2023 fyi. #baseball #mlb #oddity #injury #nymets
