So no deal?

  1. They may not need a deal if Aspiria defaulted on the loan the Royals’ affiliate now owns, because the Royals’ affiliate has foreclose rights under the mortgage. So, Sam may be speaking truthfully but not particularly helpfully.

  2. Good. As much as I would love having the ballpark on spitting distance of my house, the logistics of the traffic for 80 days of the year are psychotic. I know they haven’t said anything about or endorsed the Washington Square Park plan but that one made a lot of sense.

  3. What are we doing here? I feel like we should have a stadium location picked out by now. The longer this goes on the more worried I am that this team leaves the metro entirely. Not saying that they will but the longer it goes on the more worried I get.

  4. Tend to believe where there’s smoke there’s fire. Just because there isn’t a deal right now doesn’t mean that it’s in the works. Someone obviously had to have pretty solid info to report on it

  5. “WE HAVE STADIUM NEWS”

“There is no real new development at this time.”

  6. Holy fuck just announce one concrete plan and go with it, at this rate whatever their proposal is will get rejected again

  7. I don’t get how we haven’t just made the decision to go forward with the Washington Square Park plan. It makes more sense in every way

  8. “Royals already have one of best parks in baseball that has been recently renovated but need brand new ballpark because reasons”
