JJ Weatherhole from Pittsburgh, PA with the St. Louis Cardinals. What’s your walk out song this season? My walk out song is All for You by Hi. It’s a Christian rap song. I really like Hovie as an artist and I’ve listened to a bunch of stuff and kind of just wanted something that’s going to try to give some glory to God and so that’s one that does it for me. Then what were your college offers coming out of high school? I had one and it’s where I went, West Virginia University. So that’s the place. Committed early and just knew that was the place. Committed early and had a great career there. What’s your favorite Miley League hat you’ve worn so far to date? It’s tough. I mean, a lot of the hats are straight up. I mean, I actually really like this one. This is the Memphis Red Birds. It’s our AAA affiliate, but I mean, it’s stock, just red, but I really like it. It’s clean. Who’s an underrated player that you were a fan of growing up and you don’t think got enough love? He got love, but not enough in my opinion. Dustin Praa. Uh, he just played the game so so hard. Did everything the right way and, you know, just didn’t have any crazy tools, but was just an unbelievable ball player. What’s the craziest stadium promotion you’ve ever seen in a minor league? Like a giveaway night or just a theme for a night? At our double Affiliate, we did like any size bucket or basket or anything you can find, popcorn for five bucks. So, people are bringing in like tubs, giant like buckets, Home Depot buckets, getting five bucks filt popcorn. So, that was pretty cool, honestly. What’s the funniest or craziest fan interaction you’ve had? I was going out kind of running a little bit late, had to stretch, guys yelling for me. I I told him like, “Hey man, like I don’t have time right now. I get you after double header.” So, he asked me again after like double header is the way they work. You got to get back in, change, eat, and get back out. I was like, “I don’t have time.” He started calling me out. You lied to me, bro. What’s wrong with you? You told me you’d sign. You said after. And I was like, dude, like I I got a lot of stuff going on right now, my man. I’m sorry. And I just walked away. I was like, that’s crazy.
