For the first time since July 2, the Cubs have erased a deficit to win a ballgame!

  1. The Cubs snapped a 35-consecutive-game streak where they were unable to erase any deficit to win a game. That was the worst mark in team history (by six games).

    We’re so fuckin’ back, boys.

  2. The craziest part was seeing that was the longest such streak for the team since 190fucking1.

  3. At least the 2025 Cubs own a 35th consecutive game the Cubs failed to have a comeback victory, which is the longest such streak in franchise history since at least 1901. The Cubs last comeback win was on July 2 in a 5-4 win over the Cleveland Guardians.

  4. I had $10 on them to cover winning by 1.5 runs or more because I like to live dangerously. Figured for sure my bet was dead when the Pirates scored first. So glad to be wrong! Go, Cubs Go!

Wonder if considering how superstitious teams are if they might have Doug do the stretch again down the line?

  5. Wow, they suck! Even a win feels like a loss. At home, tied through 7 with one of the worst teams in MLB. Counsel has no spine. Seems like more of the childish “positivity” culture vs challenging grown men to fight and encouraging fire. It’s David Ross 2.0 and as long as they’re having fun, nothing else matters. Weak.

  6. Counsel’s response to the epic futility? Attack Bruce Levine when he confronts reality. What a chump. Challenge your millionaires to stop sulking.
