14 in a row! MLB-best Milwaukee Brewers set a new franchise record – MLB Network
here during this winning streak which is now a franchise record 14 straight. Correct Sean and Vinnie Ratino in the studios here in Milwaukee. Man, oh man. Oh man. I you know a lot of people are giddy over this. They can’t believe what what’s happening with this team here right now. But if you’re not taking them serious, you better start right now, right? Yeah. Best team in baseball. I mean, and they’re showing it tonight. And why are they the best team in baseball? Because they win games like this. They they don’t give up. Clearly, I’m horse right now from screaming. I’m sure everyone at home is doing the same thing, screaming at their TV because Andrew Monisterio coming in with that massive, massive home run. What a winning streak, franchise record, right? Right here, Greger. Well, it is really unbelievable. 14 victories in a row here for Milwaukee. That surpasses the 1987 team streak. That did it very, very early in the season. But look what the Brewers are doing. They are unbeaten. That whole 14game win streak has come here in the month of August. They also maintain their ninegame lead over the Chicago Cubs. They are a franchise best tying 34 games over 500 and they have also tied their longest road winning streak in franchise history at nine games as well. So you need to win at home, you need to win on the road, you need to win in dramatic fashion. And we’ve seen all of that here during this winning streak. And we’ve also seen just about every single person have a hand on this team and what the Brewers have accomplished here. We go back though to the ninth inning where the Brewers were uh trailing the Cincinnati Reds here, Vin, and they had to come up with something to get it going. And and we see once again this team can do a lot of little things and force the defense into bad situations. And that’s how they tied the game. Yeah, you saw the unearned run that the Brewers were able to score. 87 unearned runs scored by the Milwaukee Brewers offense this year, forcing the other team to make mistakes, forcing them to play perfectly. And the Cincinnati Reds certainly did not play perfectly tonight’s game with three more errors. You see this play right here. Sal Freelick puts this in play to Mlan and then a rocket of an arm from Ellie De Cruz throws this ball up the first base line and Bryce Tang is able to score the tying run. Again, Spencer Steer might have been able to come off the base a little bit or or angle his body a little bit towards that that throw up the right field line. Wasn’t able to do so. That was a rocket throw from LED on the Cruz. Again, trying to do a little too much perhaps because Salic was moving down the line. Probably didn’t have a chance to turn two right there, but that’s what the Brewers force you to do. They force you to do too much, especially when they’re playing this well. So, that was the ninth inning. We go to extra innings. The Brewers were able to crab the lead. Cincinnati ties it up and then in the 11th we’re all tied up one more time and that’s when Andrew Monisterio steps up in pinch hit fashion for Milwaukee and that’s our power ball home run as we take one more look at what this kid is able to do. Yeah, as a first pitch change up from Lorsa. And you notice what he said in his interview, I think we’re going to take a look at that interview again that his focus was towards right center field wanting to put the ball in play and he gets the hanging change up from Lorsa and deposits it into left field for a 382 ft home run. That was his second home run of the season. Remember, he was optioned in spring training. This guy is coming up big as a hero for the Brewers. Didn’t even make the opening day roster. Comes up on May 8th. 83 games played for the Brewers since he has been up. He has played in 60 of them, but has only started in 16 of them. 67 played appearances. And he’s coming up and doing stuff like that for this team. And it seems like every every night someone is is stepping up and doing something big for the Brewers. And tonight it was Monasterio’s turn. Well, if all 26 guys have their turn, then this winning streak is a ways yet to go, right? Exactly. We can get this thing cranked up. Well, it’s at 14 here right now. Uh let’s go back to that interview just moments ago with Sophia Min and Andre Monasterio. It was a good one worth looking back to. Mona, what an incredible moment for you. a pinch hit three-run homer here in the 11th. It’s now a 14game winning streak. What does this moment mean to you? Oh, it’s mean everything, you know. So, like this is part of my job. Be ready for anytime. Uh Pat Murphy like asked me like get ready like I don’t know three four times and like you know I was ready for everything you know. So like at that moment I show like I was ready for like any moment he need me like anything I feel in field pinch hit pinch runner I’m going to be ready. Mona, it’s the hardest job to do to come in and pinch hit late in the game. What was your approach? What did you want to do? So, it’s different when you play every day. When you don’t play, you have to like change your routine. I think the the key for me is my is my routine, you know? So, like when I’m starting, when I’m not starting, I have to change my routine. It’s tough, but it’s part of my job. Uh it’s part of my job. So, like uh I love this journey, you know. I love this uh I love this. So, I love this part of my job. So, obviously, everybody want to play every day, but like I love this first pitch change up. What do you like about that pitch to put such a good swing on it? To be honest, I want to to put the ball in play. I want to go to the other way, but he hanging that sha, so I take advantage of it. What will you remember about the reaction from your teammates and the dugout and this crowd here to help this team get a 14game winning streak? So, it’s amazing. Uh, we we set the franchise record. It’s a new franchise record. So, it’s amazing. So it’s something I I get blessed you know. So be part of it. Be part of this team is amazing. Um you know so like we want to like clinch obviously we want to win it all. We want to win the World Series at the mentally. So Pat Morphy say the since since the day one so like be ready to win every day. So that’s like part of my job help the team to win every day. Mona last one for you. It’s a different guy every night. Tonight it was your night. Yeah. This is the eighth comeback win in this winning streak. What is it about this team that you guys are able to do this so consistently? I think never give up and take like inning by inning, you know. So like yesterday the guy show up. So that’s so the the the job like the job talk for for himself, you know. So it’s amazing. So it’s God bless, you know. So God bless like we are part of this and it’s amazing. All right. Enjoy it from these fans and these both pilots. What a great moment. Mona, congratulations. Thank you. Thank you, man. How cool is that? And what a moment for Andre Monasterio. Lot of Brewer fans in Cincinnati. Uh a closer look into this 14game win streak and you see how dominant the Brewers have become as as a team compared to the first two months of the season been. And this is just crazy to think that a team that was struggling to score, mightily struggling to score in April and May, has been able to turn it around and become the best team in baseball right now. Kind of bar none. Yeah, they woke up on May 18th, KGER, 21 and 25. 23rd best record in baseball. And all of a sudden, they have the best record in baseball by seven games at this point. I mean just unbeliev eight and a half to the team erra three and a half. Yeah. I mean they’re dominating at this point with during this streak. I mean and they’ve been dominating teams for longer than just this streak. I mean they have an 11ame win streak. Took 10 days off between win streaks and then started a 14game win streak. Unbelievable. I love the eight comeback wins during this 14 games as well. They do not believe they’re going to lose at any point during the game until the last out is made. They all believe to a man that they have a chance to win. And I love what you just said off camera that this is their streak at this point. They they just took took the lead. Franchise record was 13. Now it’s 14 because of this team. This team has its own identity now as perhaps the best team in franchise history. I mean, they’re playing like it for sure. I mean, that’s to be determined until the end of the season, but they’re playing like it right now, Greger. And we’re uh 10 wins away from more free burgers. Let’s do it. because they got the 12 gamer and now they won two in a row. So, here we go. I can’t wait for it. You never know. So, keep hungry, folks.

I am starting to think the brewers are good at baseball.
Just take it a game at a time
No world series talk bro, just go win 1 at a time
It's hard to maintain this level of success this early and through the world series.
The issue the brewers will have in the playoffs, the defenses won’t make these mistakes
Gets a Gatorade bath, continues interview mid-stride! 😂😂
