  1. There is no other word for this series other than embarrassing. Took us 12 innings to get a win and still weren’t able to do it via a hit.

  2. We got outscored 23-5 in a three game series against the sub-.500 AL East last place team.

  3. Someone needs to light a firework up this team’s ass.

That said, they’d probably all end up on IL with discomfort if that happened.

  4. I didn’t know the Orioles had Cy Young dark horse candidates like that? Oh wait NVM our lineup just makes them look that way

  5. I left the game at the middle of the 7th inning and that’s maybe the earliest I’ve ever left a game

  6. Terrible series. Not looking forward to the 4 game series against them.

Watch the Astros will come out firing on all cylinders against the Tigers and make us question our own sanity

  7. I’d rather we were dogshit from day one instead of having hope midway through the season just to turn to dogshit when it matters

  8. Poor Nori and Finn. I miss them in these threads. Maybe tomorrow against the Tiger’s we’ll see them

  9. Javier having the squirts fucked us. We probably still would’ve lost, but we wouldn’t have been absolutely assblasted.

Feel better soon Javi. And go Mets i guess.

Also, why do we always get owned by Dean Kremer? I saw that he had a career 1.88 ERA against us, and that was before today’s game.

  10. They’re going to take 2/3 effortlessly against the Tigers because of course they will.

  11. Pathetic. We lucked out twice. In preventing a perfect game. And “winning” yesterday’s game. This was one of the worst offensive series this season. It’s absolutely terrible. Playing down to our competition in a close division race, what are we doing?

  12. This team is just not good. Too many things have to go right for us in order to make a deep run this year

  13. My Mount Rushmore of worst Astros position players in the 2020s: Robel Garcia, Niko Goodrum, Garrett Stubbs, Cooper Hummel.

I’m pretty set on the first 3, but I think the last spot is debateable.

  14. Like I said in the Hader thread yesterday only to get down-blasted into oblivion, this pen is way too thin and we would have been better off using that $20MM on more good arms.

World Series caliber teams don’t have guys like Ort, Dubin, and Weems in their bullpens (look at how elite and deep our pen was in 2022– Stanek had a 1.15 regular season ERA and only threw 3 innings in the playoffs for fuck’s sake.)

I will now await your reactionary down button smashing even though I’m right.

  15. Peña and Javier’s “sickness” (wtf they eating?) better not lead to weeklong IL placement. Again, I hate excuses, but an injury list including but not limited to the following is at the absolute worst time: Alvarez, Meyers, Hader, Garcia, France, Blanco, Paredes, Dezenzo, Leon, Walter, and McCullers.

If we don’t have resurgent returns from the IL or active players stepping up, this season is a no-go. Would also be nice to reevaluate batting strategy where we hack at everything and watch meatballs float by. The timeframe to turn it around is vastly closing in. Hopefully, we can learn from these abysmal games we have had and avoid slipping. Bring up Blubaugh or something I don’t want to see Dubin or Weems anymore at this point in the season.

  16. Yes we played down to the O’s. We made them look like the team everyone thought they were gonna be. I’m not gonna go scorched earth save for Dubin. He is not ready to pitch at a major league level, period. He has to get optioned by tomorrow.

  17. Legitimately think the AAAA roster we were running out there a month ago could have had more competitive at bats than whatever the shit 2 of the 3 games this series have been…

  18. Is it just bad luck or are we really that terrible against below average teams?

  19. We have been getting blown out a lot recently. Dubin is completely unplayable right now

  20. Chas needs to be our middle relief pitcher starting tomorrow please! Let’s make history!!

  21. So are they about 14 games under .500 vs teams 10+ games under .500? This team really sinks to the level of the competition.

  22. Would have been great to capitalize on gaining on 1st and 2nd place. Detroit and Toronto lost today.

  23. This team doesn’t deserve to make the playoffs. Maybe losing the division and missing the postseason will get Crane to bring a real MLB manager and coaching staff in here instead of a bunch of dudes who are homies with the players.
