San Diego Padres vs Los Angeles Dodgers – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 17, 2025 MLB Season

There just simply hasn’t been enough slug in San Diego for most of the season. Strike three swinging a K to begin the day for Tyler Glass. Now Luis Arise jumps on the first pitch and slices the ball to the left center field gap. He gets between Conorto and Pahes all the way to the wall. He’ll stand up at second with a one out double on a one-two from Glass. Al Machado watches called strike three glass now trying to stranderize on second swing foul ball four seamer with a little cut action right there they just call a bo a bo yeah said he didn’t come stop he didn’t stop on a 2-2 Otani pulls a base hit to right field a leadoff single Otani takes off. Another payoff pitch is inside and that’s ball four. The first two Dodgers have reached against Darvish on an 02 from Darish. Freeman takes the ball to right center field going back toward the wall. It is gone. Freddy Freeman halfway up the pavilion. [Applause] A little different than Saturday night, but Sunday produces a three-run first. Alah hammers the ball to left field and deep. Lauriano turns and watches another one fly. [Applause] Andy Pes with number 20 on the season. Another two strike hit for the Dodgers. Another run for the Dodgers. Four zip. They off pitch. Strike three. Swinging a heater at 97 to beat Bogarts. Series opener against the White Socks. A swinging tapper to the left side. Kennedy charges and makes the throw on the run for out number two. So Kennedy in his Dodger debut. Now he has two strikes against him. The one-two pitch. Now Kennedy in the air to left field calling for it is Lauriano. That’s number one. The first pitch from Darvish. Otani hits it high in the air to left field toward the wall. Lauraniano is there and he makes the catch despite overrunning the baseball. The ball found his glove for out number two out there. Freeland takes off. It’s a ball downstairs and a stolen base for Freeland to get into scoring position. [Music] Backto back eight pitch plate appearances. Firm mean takes one to right center field. Pah running after it. It’s at the wall. It’s off the wall. Stop sign at third for Kronowart. Firm mean is thrown out. Now Tatis goes the same direction. This one’s down for a hit. Croninorth is going to score and San Diego will get on the board. An RBI double for Fernando Tatis Jr. And how a roller to the right side picked by Freeland. And there’s out number two. Tatis to third Freeman. Strike three. Backto back Ks for Darish in this third. He’ll try to get Bogarts again. Another 02. Swinging tapper back to the mound. Fielded cleanly. PFP’s come in handy for round number two. But if I have a strong last month and a half or produce in October, no one’s going to for remember about the first few months. He’s down on strikes for a second time today though. And you fly ball to right field. Weird route for Hernandez now at the wall. Oh, he will watch it go. There is some serious wind up above the bleachers. Solo home run for Raone Lauraniano as he rides one out of here to right field and the Dodger lead is cut to two. And using that cannon he’s got for a right arm resulted in another out on the bases to center field. Pahes will charge. Not going to get to this one. So for me now two for two. That’ll bring the tying run to the plate with Fernando Tatis Jr. Can he make it nine? Flat to right. Uh-oh. Long run for Freeland. And it drops down between Freeland and Hernandez. Arise will slide into second with a bloop double. [Applause] Here comes the one two and Otani waves at strike three. Another K. And then you can try and get some people on track late in the game. Now Sheets slaps one the other way down toward the corner. Confo stops it on a dive, but Sheets is still going to head for second and have it standing up. [Applause] Check swing. Yes, he did. [Applause] Here comes Bond. 3-2 hit well the right field. Hernandez running toward the line. It drops a fair ball. Gavin Sheets gets the windmill from third. An RBI double for O’Harn. If not, San Diego is going to be in a good place. First pitch, a slow roller to second. Freeland goes to get Lauriano and they’re only going to get one. Smith flies it to center. Lauriano went back initially, now can trot in and make the catch. On a 1-1 pitch, Hernandez takes the ball to left center field. Lauraniano charging. Lauraniano dives and can’t come up with it. Hernandez only on first base. First pitch, Andy Pah has a flare beyond short. That’s a bloop. Now Hernandez has to stop in third. And that extra base massive. Yeah, he would have scored for sure in the air right field. That’ll bloop down for a hit. Two strike single for Arise. It’s the tying Padre on base. Three balls in a strike. Try and deals. Arise takes off. He steals second. The count is now full on Machado who continues. Arise going for third and he’s got it. Rolled to second. Gobbled up by Freeland and that ends the inning. Another runner stranded by the Padres’s 43. The Dodgers still lead. It’s time for the seventh inning stretch brought to you by Sit and Sleep. So on an 02 Otani puts the ball to left center field. Lauriano on the warning track in front of the wall makes the catch. Diaz will try again. This time he gets him. Tripled up [Applause] to left center field down for a hit. Call cuts it off. Bogarts heads to third. The throw into second and Lauriano slides in safe. Pasia kicks and fires. Rolled to short. The Padres’s have tied the game. It’s a high fly ball left field and deep. This ball is good. [Applause] Mooki has his moment and gives the Dodgers the lead. [Music] [Applause] His 13th home run of the year, but this one had to feel like the sweetest. The O2 to Smith paints the outside corner and that is out number one in the eighth. First pitch in the air to left center field. No problems for Lauriano. Two gone on a two- two from Suarez. Hernandez strikes out swinging. That’s how the inning ends. Popped up first base side. Freddy Freeman on the warning track. Makes the catch. This is in the air on the right side. Freddy Freeman once again drips over into the warning track on foul ground. And that is out number two. Here comes the 3-2. Got him swinging. That’s a sweep for LA. [Applause] the biggest series of the year and the Dodgers deliver. Machado got what he was looking for. up on the inner half and firm just beats him and the Dodgers

  1. Pay Alex Vesia he deserves it. By the way why is Teo still at right field?? He shows no sense of urgency, at least put him at left field.

  2. The Padres are going nowhere fast. They can't compete vs. the Dodgers. They have lost 8 out of 10 games to the Dodgers so far this season as of 8/17/25. They don't have elite starting pitching. They don't have elite hitting. They have no sense of urgency. They have no fire in them. Their manager is a dope. He's in love with Robert Suarez. Suarez doesn't have it anymore. He just gives up bombs.

  3. There is a 100% chance that I would have had an as good or better offensive performance than Machado today. I haven’t played organized baseball since I was 13, he got paid ~100k to go 0-5 today.

  4. The Padres aren't a competitive team vs. the Dodgers having lost 8/10 so far this season as of 8/17/25. The Padres aren't going to get through the Dodgers for anything. Not with "low energy bums" like Machado, Tatis Jr, Bogaerts. Bogaerts is practically an automatic out. He's not hungry anymore having won 2 W.S. and cashing checks for $280 million dollars over the course of his insane contract. The Padres G.M. and ownership don't have a clue how to put a winning team together and they never will.

  5. How in the Lord's name did Aarraez get to those pitches down and in?? I mean I would have given anyone no chance to even touch those baseballs. He blows my mind how well he sees those pitches, and how his hands just got straight to where the ball ends up!🤯
