Blue Jackets sign F Hudson Fasching to one-year, two-way contract

Hopefully we never have to resort to playing this guy

I remember when this guy was a complete weapon for the US world junior team back in the day
Good for him, hopefully things work out for him there
There was a time when he was thought to be a blue chip top 6 power forward prospect… that time was 2015
Why get dudes like this and ditch Danforth? Danner was the perfect 4th line player.
He banged, worked his ass off, could score every once in a while, and was a pest.
What do Fasching, Wood, and Lundestrom have that Danforth didnt?
-Fasching isn’t good enough to play a full season for the islanders,
-Lundestrom had worse production on a worse team at least hes only 25
-Wood has the same production costs 700k more, is signed for the next *4 years* and has a back problem.
