Rangers vs. Royals Game Highlights (8/18/25) | MLB Highlights
From Kaufman stadium in Kansas City on another hot night. The Texas Rangers are in town for a four game series. The Royals have recently passed Texas in the wild card. So this is an important series for both teams. 34 year old Michael walker. Mr Consistency on the mound for the Royals nine record, not as indicative of how well as he has pitched all season long. He’s been the anchor especially late. His last six starts have been fantastic. You see back on June 19th down in Fort Worth, he was able to go six innings allowing the one earned run. Josh smith leads off for the Rangers up the middle and India throws him out that brings up Lankford hitting 240 setting up down and away and it caught more of the plate than he needed to. And Langford is down looking that brings up Corey Seager. Seager goes after the first pitch from Waka and he sneaks that into left field for a base hit and he continues a great personal run against walker. He’s now eight for 21 against him. He’s on with two outs for rowdy Tele and a bouncer left side, that one’s going to get through. It does base hit for, to back to back two out singles. Both guys using the whole field and setting up Evan Carter for an early opportunity to get on the board, ground ball to first scoops it up and steps on first ahead of Carter and the Rangers leave a pair jack lighter on the mound for the Rangers making his 22nd start. He’s 7 to 6 on the year with a 39 to 4. Er, a, the thing that he has to get better at as you see the 54 walks in 105 innings pitched into the game hitting 226 deep into right field and that is leadoff home run number 10, Mike Yastrzemski and his third as a Royal Jastremski can be aggressive, takes a nice balanced swing right there and you see what he’s been able to do with fastballs in the zone since coming over to the Royals , the Rangers get two hits, fail to score the Royals leadoff hitter. Mike Yastrzemski puts the Royals up 1 to 0 with his 12th home run of the season. Here’s Bobby Witt and now down and away and the Royals have a home run and a walk to begin the bottom of the first after a couple of rough batters, Jack, the last two has done a great job of finding his spots and locations hit two strikeouts. Now looking Frazier. Adam Frazier hitting 273 2 to 2 pitch and a swing and a miss, he strikes out the side of the first inning lighter. Excellent job. So Simon singles Peterson follows with a base hit and the Rangers trying to build something in the second. So runners at 1st and 2nd with nobody out. Rangers down by a run. We have said this so many times this year, but the Rangers have to score here in the second with two on and nobody out and pops it up. That’s what Walker needed. And Wade comes in to make the play from right and there’s one away freeman hit the ball to the right side, but you’re not going to move the runners that way. The number nine hitter, the catcher Jonah, he sends that one to the alley in right field that will get semi into the plate. Peterson chugging for third and they’ll stop him there. RB I single by Jonah and he’s tied this game at one. He was all over that fastball up and in but got a little too much of the plate. Josh smith and now in the air to right medium deep. Rave gets behind it. Peterson comes down from third. The throw is what a pick by Maile. Now, the Rangers may want to take a look so the Rangers will challenge the out call at the plate. He’s safe, he’s safe. That is going to be a sack fly for smith and Peterson will have scored the second run when Adrian Johnson gets back on the microphone, he will relay New York will no doubt will say is an overturn of that call. After call on the stand, the run is out and Bruce Bochy is slamming his hat on the railing in the third base dugout. I really think that’s not good, but that will end the inning. So Bobby Jr draws a walk for the second time tonight. A leadoff walk here in the third and it brings up Vinny Pasin into the corner, Quentin after the leadoff walk and the Royals lead 31. That was a laser beam from Vinny Pasin. Vinny’s 23rd home run of the season and RB I’s number 81 and 82 to lead the team. He’s making a habit of peppering those seats in the right field corner. He’s starting to leave some dents out there three to one. The Royals lead as we move into the bottom of the fifth Mi Garcia first up against the righty and he hits that into the left field corner hooking and just inside the pole. And the Royals have three more home runs tonight and lead 4 to 1 early in the count. If you leave a pitch inner third , Michael Garcia will turn on, you can drive the ball to left field. That was a slider that never got to its spot on the outer third spins on it and drives out there. You see the way he brings his hands in so well, wants to do that so he can get the barrel to the baseball. And the Rangers have the first two men on again. This has to be a big inning for the Rangers. If they’re going to win this game, this inning, the two guys on need to score runners at 1st and 2nd. Nobody out for rowdy to L pass Waka and Fortune. It didn’t hit the bag and the Royals get a double play. That play could have been messed up twice if it had deflected off of Waka or if it hit second base , that is certainly deflating third double play into which the Rangers have hit tonight. Lankford is over to third now with two outs, Evan Carter is at the plate and that one is lined in the left field, a base hit and that gets Lankford to the plate. Carter with another big two out RB I and he makes it 4 to 2. Great job, Evan Carter after the double play ball, great job of taking a pitch away and slapping it hard the other way. This is hitting right here and that will be all for the starter , Michael Wanka. The Royals pitcher is righty john Schreiber, Marcu Simi at the plate. Fastball blew it by him and Schreiber gets the job done again. Frankford takes a high fastball and hammers it the opposite way. So that’s the 10th Ranger single of the ball and it brings up corey Seeger as the tying run in a 4 to 2 affair and a swing and that one going the opposite way to got a late read dives and that one is passed him, bounces up against the fence. They were going to wave Langford and now stop him at the last minute. And that was the right move. That was a great decision. That’s a big double on a slip from the left fielder. The Rangers have runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out. The tying runs in scoring position for Rowdy Telez. A base hit would tie this game and a bouncer left side, Garcia flags, it throws to first and he gets to Les for the second out of the inning but Langford scores from third and it’s a one run game backhand snare right here. That ball had a chance to eat him up, keeps his balance on top of it. Seger stayed at second on the play and it’s up to Evan Carter to try and get him home. Carter bounces it to Vinny hot right to the base and he gets there in front of Carter Rangers have to settle for the one run but they’ve made it a one run game last chance coming up for the Rangers here. Carlos Est-vez closer for the Royals is on, he leads the American League in saves and he comes into tonight with very little room for error. The Rangers are down to their final out trailing four to three and it’s a line drive right to Junior Rangers. They fought back tonight. They got to within a run but couldn’t get over the hump. And boy, is that the story of the season at this point? 4 to 3. Kansas City takes the opener. Carlos Est-vez gets the game ball from junior. He has a career high. 32 saves. Congratulations. CarlosEst-vez. Est-vez.

Noooooooo!! Why does this keep happening?! the Royals are supposed to be our punching bag! Are we gonna get swept by them again? Oh well at least I'm first again!🎉Rangersforever❤
Stay hot royals!!
Please release Jake Burger and Joc Pederson and Robert Garcia
Leighter may be the son of a major leaguer but he isn’t MLB material. Needs to go down to AAA.
Gotta love Lefebvre loosening up and joining Hud on the Kamehameha.
Also, that was a big dub especially since New York and Cleveland were off today.
Last game “walk” to Vlad leading to the winning run. And again, a blow call by the umps (even after reviewing it!) at the platebeing the difference maker. Umps so bad it’s almost like theyre purposely taking out their frustration on MLB by making the game unwatchable cause they know they’re about to be replaced.
Rigged and scripted. Betting conglomerates control every aspect of the MLB. Players are told what to do and they blindly follow like modern slaves. Wake up kids. Nothing is genuine or real. Your favorite player is decided by bets. Stop supporting a fake and scripted sport.
Royals manage to hang on for the win. Kame Hame Ha for Carlos Estevez
Let's Go Royals

Ive noticed the rangers batters are really good at hitting the ball so deep onto their batting stance
Royals actually making a bit of a run now it seems will see how long that lasts.
