  1. I only started caring about sports like a decade ago. I was already thirty years old.

I used to like Wisconsin and its people. They seemed alright.

Now, I’d like all Wisconsin sports fans to die in a pit of fire. Fuck the Brewers, Fuck the Packers, Fuck their Fans.

I hate what sports fandom has done to me.

    Go Cubs

  2. Yesterday sure felt like a low point, but with two games today against this same juggernaut, I know it can always get a little worse!

Might be an unpopular take, but with the offense continuing to struggle, maybe give Happ another shot in the leadoff spot. He’s one of the few guys who’s been doing OK, which I know is damning with faint praise. But still, I think the Busch lead-off experiment has been mostly a failure, much as it pains me to say, since I was a proponent of it early on.

Elsewhere, no matter how bad things are going, the Mets are still struggling (though they won their weekend series), and the Padres have suddenly lost four straight and are having some offensive issues of their own. Point being, as much as this does not look like a playoff team, they’re still very much in this thing.

  3. I would like to opt for “stadium ambient” audio feed to reduce the amount of announcer-induced angst and false hope

  4. 3-7 so of course he will pitch like a Cy Young winner against us. I better not see Tucker ONCE in the two games today.
