The worst play in football history

  1. Didn’t Dallas do something similar a few years ago where Ezekiel Elliott lined up at center?

  2. It’s tough to beat the butt fumble, but by God, i think the Colts managed it. Impressive display of incompetence.

  3. The best part is that the genius colts coaching staff watched this unfold and didn’t call a timeout.

  4. I have a hard time believing they practiced this play and nobody pointed out how absolutely terrible of an idea it is (completely ignoring the fact that it’s an illegal formation).

  5. Didn’t this exact play work previously? Maybe it was a different team that ran it? I can’t remember the details

Edit: there was Washington’s [swinging gate](https://www.reddit.com/r/nfl/s/hIAlN4hKhv) play that also didn’t work but had little downside due to it being at the end of the half. I’m still remembering something different though

  6. He wasn’t supposed to snap it. They were supposed to come back in a different formation

  7. I dunno that 2 pt conversion in the Giants Steelers game last year was pretty fucking horrible

  8. Anderson: “whatever you do don’t snap the ball”

    Whalen: “snap the ball??”

Anderson: “NO! Don’t snap the ball!”

Whalen: “OK, OK, I’ll snap the ball!”

    Anderson: “NOO!”
