  1. Once you lose the fans, there is no way you can stay. He did the Cubs a big favor. Instead of Cubs management being the villain when they don’t resign him at season’s end, they now can do so without fan ire. How lucky.

  2. I’ve been begging them to bench Tucker for weeks. He has been lost physically and mentally. Why was Counsell giving other players days off with Castro filling in but won’t bench Tucker?

  3. It absolutely isn't just Tucker. The whole damn team! I'm also getting sick and tired of this Matt Shaw crap. How the hell are we supposed to have a third baseman that's hitting between. 222 and .225 constantly. Every day it's either 0 for 3 or 1 for 3 with little output. Can't have this out of third base. Whole team is just crap with a crappy line up that Counsell has to work with. Not all his fault either!

  4. The Cubs are not losing solely because of Tucker. There is something very wrong with the Cubs organization. These team wide slumps are not a new occurrence as they happen fairly regularly. Additionally, I understand the loss of Alvarez, Altuve, and others who provided protection in the Astros lineup, but there is something else causing issues. Tucker is not the first FA or trade the Cubs have brought in, who has suddenly forgotten how to hit as they have in recent years. It's just a poorly run organization, and it has been for many years.

  5. Kyle Tucker is still one of the Astros most dedicated players, sent for 1 year to sabotage the Cubs in exchange for Cam Smith. Then in free agency, he will be acquired once more by the Astros and they will go on to win multiple championships with the best versions of Tucker and Smith… next level 3D chess… J/K

  6. My thoughts on Tucker is that he isn’t a leader. He was a support player on the Astros and the Cubs tried to him the star on their team. I don’t think he is the type of person to handle being a star player.

  7. It's really unfair to put all this team failure on Tucker. He's a career .280's hitter who's in a bad slump. He was over-hyped in April and now I think some have unrealistic expectations. All hitters except the elite have slumps. Only Hoerner and Shaw have been hitting for the last month. Are Busch, PCA, Kelly, and Suzuki broken too?

  8. Omg… the typical Chicago Cubs whining fans here. Jesus! You’re in the lead in the Wild Card as of today, and 16 games over .500! Quit your whining already! Milwaukee is in your heads. You are NOT catching Milwaukee. Hell, no one is. But cmon, the Wildcard is there for the taking. Having lived in Chicago, although hugely passionate, the Chicago fan whines more than anyone. The key is they even whine when they’re doing pretty damn well. They just happen to be in Milwaukee’s division this season. We have all seen it over and over again, that a team makes the playoffs, a player gets super hot, and that very well could be Kyle Tucker, or the team gets super hot and they make a huge run! Cubs fans, there’s no reason to panic, you are STILL in the thick of it as far as the Playoffs go! Confidence!!!!

  9. My thing is this, we’ve said that we want a star and Kyle hasn’t been it for us but what if Tucker was straight up injured (in public eye) what would this franchise do?! We said we needed pitching and now we can’t hit, I feel like it’s a coaching issue or lack there of, like you said Turang has like 6 homers in 13 games and Tucker only 6 in 3 months, wtf are we doing with development or helping this out?! And if everyone is going to avoid this then he needs to sit for a while, no playoffs for us this year, we don’t deserve it

  10. Here’s what I think will happen. Tucker will sign with the Dodgers or Yankees, and he’ll be MVP IN 2026, which will show just how bad a baseball organization the Cubs are. Especially the Rickets.

  11. LeBron James sat out because they League changed how they were testing for steroids and he had to sit out to wait for it to leave his blood stream before he got tested again.

That's why when he came back he was significantly skinnier lol

  12. I'm from the outside looking in, but I don't think you could say it's 80% Tucker's fault. He's having a hilariously bad August with a 16 wRC+, but PCA isn't much better at 24. Busch has a 38, etc. I don't think Suzuki's 121 and Shaw's 144 are enough to balance that.

  13. Can’t believe we haven’t seen the obvious – Jason Heyward put the jinx on right field – gotta recognize the roll over groundouts to first –

  14. What’s the point of divisions with 12 teams making the playoffs. Maybe they could put ad patches on the other sleeve too. The current keepers of the game are flushing it right down the shitter.

  15. Funny you should mention moving backward because …from Passan…not sure if its a fake account…no more 7 inning doubleheader and no more ghost runners
