  2. I know it’s super early but Basallo n Beavers just look different at the plate. Don’t seem overmatched at all like many of our other guys have at first.

  3. Mountcastle is not a reclamation project. He is a proven 30+ HR, high average, gold glove player. Mayo is just potential at this point. Chances are he won't achieve all 3 of those things. He may get close and do it for cheaper, but the odds are against him being as good as Mounty has been.

    Basilio is different, he IS special. He has eye popping talent, and The Orioles need to get his career going NOW.

  8. I am so happy for Rogers. I’m hoping he is the real deal and has a successful rest of his career with the Orioles. Love his demeanor both on and off the mound. Go O’s in ‘26!!!

  14. The worst two things that Connor says on the show, "But First…..". here comes the commercial. Just kidding. Funny that you mentioned Gary Sanchez, I have totally forgot about him! Curious if Mateo is done for the year or might he resurface at some point in September? God I hope not. Next year we should have an over/under on the number of games O'Neil will play. This team has some tough decisions to make in the offseason in regards to whether we add a free agent outfielder.

  15. Rogers' #'s are better because he is keeping the ball on the ground. His hard hit % is really high at 49.3%, but guys aren't elevating the ball. The BA against/BABIP are unsustainably low, so he won't quite put up these #'s over time. But if Rogers can continue to keep the ball down and the walk rate down like he has, he could be a #3 type starter over time.

  16. Basallo needs to work on his defense. It wasn't really great last night, but he's young and it could just be big league jitters from his first time up. I do want to see him tighten that up though. He looked solid at the plate and could be the starting catcher next year if Rutschman doesn't start hitting.

  21. Feel Mansolino was wrong to simply dismiss in his post-game press conference Henderson's anger at that slide by Story into 2nd base. Video seems to clearly show the runner needlessly sliding his body into Henderson while touching the base with his left hand. Could have led to a serious knee or ankle injury.
