it is crazy how different the vibes are here vs if we were to have lost both games today.

It’s two games and there are two left to go AND it’s mostly been sparked by a rookie. So let’s calm down until after the series. If they win the next two you’re allowed to repost this. I give you permission.

Is this hope before the imminent collapse the last week of the season? Remember when Seiya dropped that pop fly, or when Kimbrel gave up 2 hrs on 2 pitches? Really hope we don’t do some dumb shit like that this year.

We have one of the easiest remaining schedules. We had super unlucky hitting metrics during the slump. Brewers have one of the easiest schedules played and a mid-difficulty remaining schedule.
I’m optimistic.
My son (older) is a new Cubs fan. He’s learning the pain in real-time this season. But, he picked a hell of a season to start paying attention!!
Guys it’s literally been a month of .500 ball. After being the best team for the first half.
If you asked this sub at beginning of year especially after Justin went down would you be happy where we are and 99% of you say yes. This is baseball not football, streaks hot and cold happen in a season. We just need to hope they get hot this last stretch into playoffs because honestly that’s where it matters.
I will say as a “lurker” mostly it has been hilarious watching you guys melt down this last month. Not as bad as the ‘16 cold streak Doomers but you guys are giving them a run for their money. We were WS contenders that year though so I suppose that’s why it was more hype.

Still 7 games back….need to win these next two and hope we can go on a run like the Brewers did.
