  2. The Padres are currently on pace to have their 5th best season in franchise HISTORY. That is in addition to having one of the easiest remaining schedules in MLB.

  5. I’m wondering if having Peralta or, idk, Morgan as an opener for Cortes/Cease would help out with our 1st inning curse? Both have proven themselves as competent mid-leverage relievers this season IMO. This would get the starters through the tougher part of the lineup while also giving them more warmup time in the pen, and time to settle in before facing the top of the lineup.
