  1. Im not gonna lie I wasn’t the biggest fan of JJ when we drafted him but over the summer im becoming more impressed of his mentality and leadership. Although I do believe JJ will make mistakes I think he’s a winner. As Vikings fans we always expect the worst I really do believe that if health permits and JJ is decent this team can make the SB. SKoL 💜💛

  2. I wouldn't mind trading a bubble defender for a veteran WR just to shore up the WR room Thielen for Bo Richter I'd go for Thielen is still a good slot WR not much helps a young QB than a reliable veteran slot WR

  3. i'm old…

Attended my first game at Met Stadium in 1968. Rode the freight elevator with then VP Hubert Humprey (my friend's mother had polio and there was no ADA access) to our seats. He was very engaging with us teenagers.
    my point.

this is the most balanced team with top talent at many positions since those early Bud Grant teams (in my opinion)….bar none. better than 1998 or 2009 or 2017. it is not dependent on either side of the ball. both are capable of winning games on their own,

I'd love to see the Vikings win and honor their former coaches, especially Jocko Nelson who died of a heart attack while coaching. he was a neighbor….

  4. I love that the Vikings had a great season and I'm hopeful that McCarthy turns out good for y'all (but there is concern about him because he's unproven)

However, I'm concerned about KOC. Not as a head coach, but a play caller. The Shannahan system doesn't seem to be built to win Superbowls, just to get to the playoffs. KOC has lost twice in the Wildcard round to worse teams and he's been destroyed each time, with all three phases not playing well. The system is built to get up by big scores, then run out the clock and we've seen Shanny choke a fair few games because of it.

The Rams locked down the Vikings offense and steamrolled their defense until they were down 14-0 in the first quarter and could never come back from it. I'm worried the Shannahan system isn't actually a winning system, just one that can get you to the playoffs

  5. I'd just like a time machine at this point cause I'd like to skip to knowing definitively if JJ is going to work out. Even if I was powerless to alter the outcome I just want to know.

We are a couple of weeks out from the season and I'm still seeing conflicting reports on his performance and while I get that practice is the time to struggle, I just feel that this team will never be lucky enough to have all of the pieces in the right place at the same time.

  6. For the first time in over a decade it feels like we might not completely melt down in the playoffs as soon as we go up against a good d line. Offensive pass protection has been our kryptonite for the longest time and I've gotten so tired of watching it fall apart in big games

  7. Even as a vikings fan I can't trust a defense where Byron Murphy and near retirement Hitman are the only good DBs. Mettelus fills in well but hes better as a joker that does everything than a safety.

  8. 3 olineman coming off major injury, best division in football, first year starting qb… yea no thanks. Even casual observers are taking the under 🥱

  9. This team is setup to win. They should have a top 5 defense. They have 2 good RB'S. All JJ has to do is minimize mistakes and extend drives. Look at the eagles last year Jalen Hurts only had 2903 yards passing.

  10. While i think the Vikings are a pretty damn good team for the most part, that secondary is suspect imo, that along with a rookie, unproven qb i could see them winning 12 games if everything goes right, but at the same time i could easily see them winning 7-8 games if that secondary gets exposed and/or jj struggles.

  11. That defense. I just hope to heaven Gink isn't seriously injured. They were really good last year, only got better since then while keeping all the main pieces in place. Also, it seems like Grenard is a man on a mission. Let's go, skol!

  12. I think this season doesn't need to be big, we just need McCarthy to show that he's worth keeping around and our younger defensive players to show growth. We have at least next season to still compete, O'Connell can keep the window open for that long at least.

  13. I’ve never been a Vikings fan (never really disliked them either); but as an Alabama fan I love to see Reichard thriving there 😉 Plus you’ve got some defensive clout with the veteran J. Allen and the newcomer Dallas Turner.
I enjoy watching your videos even if I’m not keen on the team you’re analyzing!
