Yikes
Dude this is so fucked. 100% malpractice by this org. Unbelievable. Idc if a player doesn’t want to go on IL. I’m so sick of this money greedy org with no consideration to its teams performance or its fans. FUCKKING BS
Contract year bullshit
And we let him PLAY? Have we learned nothing from Rizzo and the Yankees?
Am I shocked? No.
But am I shocked? Yes.
No, I’m pretty sure his struggles are because he didn’t run hard that one time he hit the ball right to the first baseman who was right at the bag
Woah not a good look here. Vibes look to be back on the field, but still this was handled horribly. I’ll eat my crow saying he wasn’t hurt. Was dead wrong and expected better from the team’s leadership. Damn
Get right, King. This is a dude that has played baseball for the past 24 ish years, competitively probably for half of that. He’ll figure it out. Excited for him to get going for the playoff push.
Jesus fuckin Christ. This is some Mickey mouse bullshit
We should have put him on the IL and traded for a bat for OF or DH at the deadline.
> Tucker wanted to keep playing for the then-first-place Cubs, choosing against an IL stint as he compiled a .982 OPS that month.
His choice
This has been whispered for quite a while, glad they finally said it out loud.
Those fuckers tanked a month of the season and Tucker lost money in FA because of this dumb bullshit. Cool.
Fracture it again. He was incredible for a month after it happened.
I’m confused…why is this entirely the Cubs fault? He said he wanted to play through it and put up good numbers that month. Williams Contreras played through a fracture too…are the Brewers evil for allowing that?
Cubs have misdiagnosed Tucker, Dansby, and Steele now. In just 2 seasons. Good shit, Jed.
So we let him not only play, but play into a nasty slump where it should have been obvious that it was affecting him, but also play pretty much every day until now, and not even as a DH but on defense as well, and not just that but also hitting in the top of the order usually 2nd.
About as piss poor as you could imagine managing this.
Goddamn this is a dumb organization
Do they have the Bulls doctors in that locker room? Jesus Christ
As someone who’s broken nearly all my toes and fingers (athletic career) yeah something like an innocuous broken finger can fuck up your year up for sure. I can’t bend my fingers all the way.
Remember when Counsell pretended he wasn’t injured just yesterday? Nice
What kind of Mickey Mouse organization are we that wouldn’t put him on the IL? He could be back by now!
