At this point he must be praying it’s just a season-ending injury, and not something worse. Hope this turns out as well as an injury like that can.

ugh that looked bad. Javier quickly figured out it wasn’t what it looked like at first and he’s 100% right which is probably a lot worse than the comebacker.

CBS Sports says he got diagnosed with a sprained knee. If that’s truly the case then we’re lucky it wasn’t worse.
Coming in peace as a Padres fan who was at the game. Just here looking for a video of what happened and to be honest, it looked worse in person. I thought it had cracked his kneecap or something. It was a bullet right up the middle and really rough to watch. He got two long ovations from the crowd, but his expression on the cart was pretty dejected, understandably.
Best wishes for him.
