And the Bengals have more than enough cap available.
The rest of the team is weak because their owners are allergic to spending cash or giving guarantees, not because they don’t have cap space.
And I think the official position on the defense is “the picks were fine (they’ve got 8 or 9 top 100 picks in there), it was the coaching that was the problem”. Hmmm, we will see…
While it surely would’ve pissed off Burrow, they should’ve traded Higgins and Hendrickson last year at the deadline for a decent haul of picks. Instead they’re paying Tee borderline wr1 money and now have no leverage in dealing Hendrickson. I’m sure someone will pull the trigger but no way in hell they’re coughing up a first rounder for him especially after Garret and Watt reset the market.
My prediction: one or two out of the three get hurt because you’re asking the offense to put up crazy numbers after barely sitting between possessions.
I never get this, you think star players would want more fair deals to get the best people on the team and win games. Mahomes probably made more from Statefarm than the NFL.
Burrow deserves better than the career the Bengos will allow him to have. I hope he pulls a Palmer at some point and forces his way outta there while he still has something left.

The total is pretty high but they have very little dead spending. You look at the rams eagles and the jets they don’t spend as much but they have like a third of salary cap used for top 3 skill position players in dead spending

Trey Hendrickson going off like a madman last year is the only reason that D wasn’t an absolute and complete shit show and they’re fucking with the man who kept Joe from needing 40 to win anything.
