  1. Who would go if not Fisher? They need lefties. He will be back very soon. Him and Loperfido back when rosters expand.
Hate the idea of moving Lauer to pen. He has simply been their best starter.

  2. Most teams wouldn't send Fischer down – Shatkins is anal about lefty-lefty match-ups and has built his bullpen with one and down match-up guys … thus, Fischer sent down for being a righty which is surplus. See Horowitz douse through the lefty-lefty logic yesterday (which is a very small number of difference compared to lefty-righty, so small it's hardly worth it but Shatkins does it 100% of the time) AND Horowitz proved lefty-lefty to be wrong. JS smiling because the Pirates left Horowitz in, than BAM! a solid single, other runner advances to 3rd (on an 0-2 count). But hey! Shatkins values other GM's draft picks over his, moving out Horowitz for Gimenez, then moving out Roden (or the top 5 prosp) for Ty Lance to replace Horowitz – two homegrown's gone, two somebody else's child in!

  3. Guys and Gals, Lauer is only being sent to the pen because of pride. GM's are not going to send the veterans they signed huge contracts with, to the pen. UNLESS it is last case scenario, and its not – Basshitt was a key FA signing as a pivotal part of the rotation and he hasn't soured enough for a bullpen move, for him and Shatkins to put pride aside for the best of the team will not happen – throw in the fact Shatkins has to tell his boss (again) how his spending money on talent failed (again) are not the conversations that helps you keep your job – so its the piece oh sh!t Shatkins flung at the wall that stuck (Lauer) who gets moved to the pen undeservingly or not. Ya dig!

  4. Side topic – does anyone listen to Jays Talk Plus on fan590? Does Beta Baby Beer Belly Blake bother you like he does me? ..He beta-bullies his host, cuts her off constantly, dismisses her, doesn't build off her insights, he is a tough co-host, what my grandmother would call "a drip". This is what Beta's do! ..scared of Alpha's because they can't see themselves to their kind of confidence and trust of self, however they act Alpha to other Beta's, only do it gentler – they believe passive-aggressive is OK BUT aggressive-aggressive is not, see the logic? The thing is, beta-aggressive is annoying, like a pesky house fly, it irritates you with their constant combative smarmy, proking unaccountable behaviour … like a immature sulky 11 year old. Send Beta Baby Beer Belly Blake back to the newsroom, he is NOT an on-air personality!!!!

  5. Big Jays fan but I think Yanks will over take jays in the next two weeks Jays not playing good and got some tough games coming and Yanks got a lot easier schedule coming up

  6. All the Analysts and Podcaster are really high on Lauer, unfortunately the don't see to be. But really there no good (or bad) move here, hope this doesn't bite them in the ass.

  7. It's the business. Lauer makes sense 1) because he's the cheapest starter with the least leverage and 2) because if any starter can't go deep, he can pitch a couple of innings from the left side and mess up the hitters. Fisher makes sense because he has options and it's only for about 10 days, although Little going on the 10-day IL for a blow would have made more sense. None of this is that surprising.

  8. Should trade Davis to the Pirates. They would give him a bigger chance than the Jays. Too much potential to sit on the bench – RF golden glove 💯

  9. berrios gets pulled after 50 pitches max, lauer pitches the next four innings. you at least turn some bats around, force teams to make some switches early. lauer has experience coming out of the pen, berrios not since his rookie year. but the team probably goes six man for 13 game stretch without an off day between september 9 to 21. also, yankees have a much easier schedule than the jays. five game lead with the tie breaker will be tight. and getting zero runs over 27 outs against oviedo and a pittsburg team that only scored two runs is not great.
