  1. Take two out of three and we’ll be tied for the NL West lead entering the final week of August.

Not sure anyone had that on their bingo card.

  2. Flying down from Boise to catch the game with my lady tomorrow! Can’t wait to see all my compadres!!

  3. We are 6-4 this Giants/Dodgers divisional brawl so far.

I said at the outset, 9-4 would be ideal, 7-6 would be acceptable.

So heading into this weekend we need at least one win, but a Dodgers sweep is the only real solution to come out with a 3-3 split against our main division rival.

However, at this point, I’ll also take 2 wins and settle for tied overall.

  4. Can’t sweep if we don’t win today. Tonight’s game is the most important. Please don’t run yourselves out of the game tonight. Make Snell work and tag him for some runs. Darvish has to give this team a chance. Don’t allow any early runs.

  5. Dodgers are just another opponent. Not the final boss! Let’s take 2/3 or sweep them! We got this

  7. The real test for Shildt is today and if he starts O’Hearn against a good lefty.

  8. A funny thing about those interviews that night where Manny was pointing to Darvish in the dugout, is he mentioned Darvish watches the most tape out of anyone in the club. That story made me liken him to Batman. He probably watches so much footage that I bet he has “contingency plan” pitch sequences that he thinks will K every single one of his teammates if it ever came down to that.

Also the 8th inning bat breaking ground ball that Tatis hit yesterday made me much more confident in him not being as scared of being hit anymore and going for those inside pitches. I just hope the wood explosion didn’t re-scare him lol.

  9. What I’m expecting for tonight:

    Tatis (RF)

    Arraez (1B)

    Machado (3B)

    Laureano (LF)

    O’Hearn (DH)

    Bogaerts (SS)

    Cronenworth (2B)

    Fermin (C)

    Johnson (CF)

  10. A win today would be huge since it would get us out of our own heads against the Dodgers.
