What about the trade exception money they received from the Kings?
Yeah, he should take the most he can get, but hopefully his heart is still in Detroit and is willing to bet on himself one more time. But if he leaves, I understand.
I REPORTED ON THIS 1HR AGO I HOPE WE BRING HIM BACK !!!!!
Bring him back. Lets us package sasser, Robinson, harris, and or levert to make a move later
He should bet on himself again and sign a 1 year deal so he can get his 20 + mil deal next year
Another team could sign and trade him back to the Pistons but they probably would want a pick along with a salary match player for MB.
I'm guessing someone will offer Malik more $$ and he'll take it (as he should). But if the Pistons can bring him back, they should do it. He would make them a better team. I don't care at all about rotation concerns when assuming the team is 100% healthy. It's not how things actually go down.
It would be a huge coup if they could resign him, but it doesn’t seem likely.
1st Listen. You know Ku, I'm happy for him and it would be dope if the Pistons could bring him back. Reason being, I'm not too excited about the cats we brought in. Stay up my G. Word up!!
Pistons need to be creative!!! Malik needs to be a priority.
SIGN HIM
Pistons only can give him 7,2 mio plus 5 percent raise every year 🎉
Clippers want him
Can't the Pistons, trade a player, and get some $ money back ? Like taking bottles to store to get some $ Pay some body
Lets Go!
nba tampers with the pistons every season since 1987 bad guy wrestling type shit👍
They also drafted Chaz Lanier
If he goes to the knicks it’s gonna be infuriating
Thanks for info KU good job 👍
I think you make a spot for one of the 5 best 3 pt shooters in the league.
He coming back Detroit is home for him all his family from here
You make it work period
Since I never liked the signing anyway, Package Duncan Robinson out for a 2nd round pick or cash considerations so you can free up money for Malik
If he decided, the reason why Malik Beasley would take a pay cut, and less minutes, is because he's the cause of all this, and of course he loves being in Detroit, and detroit will reward him next season… Theoretically , if they went with a ten man rotation , every one on the bench could actually average about 16 minutes per game, but more than likely they'll probably go nine, with the hot hands getting the most minutes out of all of them. I see Duncan Robinson as a one year rental, and I will give Malik Beasley more minutes than duncan robinson….. Just a thought….
It didn’t take that long because it’s been prolonging for 2 years..
Waive somebody like sassar …
If we get Beasley back this offseason goes from a C- to a B.
Wow the investigators really screwed this up. Nice going.
You bring him back regardless if he wants to be here. Roster fit can be adjusted at the deadline.
That’s a great cover on the story, touching on all the angles. And yes, the biggest surprise is how quick this investigation went, but it was for something that happened while he was in Milwaukee and maybe even before, so it may have been ongoing for over a year. Another fact worth mentioning is that Javonte Green’s contract has listed $1M guaranteed: So there are additional cuts that can be made even if Trajan decide get up get a backup forward + Beasley. And yes, Duncan Robinson can’t be traded until mid December but he’d be easy to move at that point, and I’m sure even get some kind of assets in return. It really comes down to a decision of what’s gonna be best for the team and it’s gonna be best for Beasley. As far as the money goes, there are ways to make it work if there’s mutual interest. He could sign a multi year using the non-bird rights with player options, so he has guaranteed money, but also has the option to jump in a free agency next year when the Pistons have full bird rights. There’s about 5 weeks til training camp and in that time teams are all tryin to lock up their final roster spots and camp deals. The big factors here are still if everyone is confident that there’s no charges looming and how team chemistry will be.
I'm not gonna lie, I thought Detroit was going to be a play in team this year. He just fits next to Cade perfectly, now is the time move Ivey, Tobias, and Duren, in exchange for Markkanen, Kessler, and a future first…
I wouldn’t blame him for taking double the money. But pistons should definitely try to sign him.
Is it possible to trade our recent signings for Kuminga if we get him back?
If they bring him in the rotation would be interesting the first part of the season but by Christmas or trade deadline we could make a large trade to bring some one like Markitan for multiple players freeing up minutes for Beasley
From a pure fan position i would be most worried about keeping the player that was a huge part of turning this ship around than any new players!
Money wise I know that’s not smart but it is how I feel! Bring Malik home!
Malik Beasley needs to file a very large lawsuit. It should cover at least the amount of the proposed contract and then future earnings since this ruined his reputation.
Just because a team has the financial room, doesn’t mean that that’s who they are looking to put on the team or spend that room on or spend at all. So it’s not necessarily if he comes to the Pistons he’s taking a pay cut, other offers may not be available to him
