The Giants are the eighth team since 2009 to finish a preseason with a point differential of +60 or more, and of the seven previous teams, SIX of them made the playoffs, including two teams that went on to win the Super Bowl.

  1. I remember reading some analysis on /r/NFL a few years ago that was along these lines. When preseason games are close, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose. But if you consistently blow teams out in preseason, it probably means you’re pretty good. Conversely, if you’re getting blown out in every preseason game, it usually means you’re pretty bad.

  2. I am hopeful. Giants have had their fair share of getting blown out, and looking terrible but, many games were 1 score games that they just couldn’t overcome. The expectation isn’t high, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the Giants have a winning season with those close games going our way again.

  3. Hang the banner, 2025 AFC East Pre-Season Champs. We don’t need to play the Dolphins, they’re all broken anyways.

  4. For the first time in years, I feel a glimmer of hope.

Not hype or excitement. I still fully expect the team to be complete ass in the coming season, but I feel hope that they may have the cornerstones, and especially a QB that can actually make them fun to watch again.

I didn’t even watch the games anymore if they weren’t in the early window (the other games are pretty late in Europe), but that feeling of hope is so refreshing after the previous … apathy

  5. I think our preseason is pretty indicative that we finally have guys down the depth chart who can actually play pro level football

  6. 16 years seems like an awfully cherry-picked #. Especially given the move from 4 to 3 preseason games only happened a few years ago.

I wonder what it looks like over a more general number like since 2000

  7. I was looking at PPG and every team in our neighborhood had at least 7 wins.

This was all modern era teams, though, so half were from the 60s.

    We were #2 all time

  8. Feels like we have good ingredients…

Coaches need to figure out how to put it all together. Saw quite a few new guys on both side of the ball that look like impactful.

I would shop Hyatt and a QB for some OL depth

  9. lol I love it. Another year. Another time they got me. Don’t let me down this year gmen for the first time in a long time.
