Recently found these pics on my old laptop of my Dad’s ‘89 World Series ring and wanted to share them with this sub. He worked for the team in the late 80s to the early 90s and was fortunate enough to receive a ring from the Haas family when they swept the Giants. My Dad attended all 4 games of the series and even got to celebrate with the team when they arrived back in Oakland shortly after winning game 4

I always thought that Championship rings were the coolest pieces of memorabilia sports fans could have. Makes it 100x sweeter that they dominated the Giants as well

  1. I remember going to a game in 90 and the concession vendor had a ring. I commented on it and she said, “The Haas family bought a ring for everyone who works for the A’s.”

  2. Thank you for sharing that! 89 was the year I first got into baseball, listening to both A’s and Giants games here in Sac since we didn’t have cable. I didn’t learn until a few years ago the A’s never got a parade since the region wasrecovering from the earthquake.
