Completely dominated that game for 9 innings. This team feels unstoppable at Petco. Let’s go out there tomorrow and sweep those losers and solidify our place on top of the division.

Knowing this i believe it is crucial that we secure the #2 seed in the NL- which means we will need to overtake the Phillies at some point (and obviously win the division). Our path to the WS becomes significantly more probable. Now I know there’s still a lot of games still yet to be played but I’m just throwing out what will be the most ideal scenario/ position for our team. How so?
It appears the Brewers (albeit something drastic) will lock up the #1 seed. If the Padres can get the #2 seed (which also means winning the division) then we will get a first round bye. #3 seed would be Phillies. #4 Dodgers #5 Cubs #6 Mets
Wildcard round:
#3 Phillies over the #6 Mets
#4 Dodgers over #5 Cubs
Divisional round:
#1 Mil vs #4 Dodgers ~ LA wins
#2 SD vs #3 PHI (scary) but lets say SD wins
