Dodgers have only five hits in two games.
It would be so amazing if Padres clinch the NL WEST since Giants can't make it. Congratulations Padres for being in 1st in the NL WEST! Would be even cooler if they knock out LA in the POSTSEASON!
Nestor Cortes' Yankee career ended because of that walk-off Grand Slam by Freddie Freeman in Game 1 of the 2024 World Series. In this particular game, he pitched 6 shutout innings and allowed just one hit against the same team he fell victim to last October. Did he exercise his demons?
So far this year, only one pitcher had held the Dodgers to 1 run in six innings. The Padres pitchers just did it on 2 consecutive nights.
