Rudy Gobert touches the microphones during the Covid-19 pandemic, soon before testing positive for Covid-19

It’s always hilarious when people bitch and moan and wonder why other players hate Gobert. It’s because he’s a dickhead.
Gobert was never said to be a smart guy was he
when your default reaction to people saying “we need to be super cautious about this scary, deadly virus” is to do this? yeah, you’re a shit person
I remember when this happened. He was trying to be a smartass and caught it
Inadvertently started the shutdown and a hero in a roundabout way because of it?
Still waiting for that Bubble documentary
He’s French
Dude is a dumbass
First player in NBA history to lead the league in blocks and outbreaks.
19/20 NBA season needs to be studied from free agency to the bubble
Fuck this guy forever for this
Ain’t he break with his baby mama with their 2nd kid on the way earlier this year?? Someone test this man for CTE
I like Rudy, but this was definitely not his finest moment.
Him doing this and immediately getting COVID is kinda what kicked off the real Pandemic in my mind.
My work shut down 3 days later.
Leave it to the French to ruin everything
Then Kat comes to those mics and then Kats grandma if i remember correctly, died from covid.
You say during the pandemic, but this was in the extreme early days when the vast majority of the United States was not taking it seriously. Literally this moment and the subsequent suspension of the NBA season a day or two later and Tom Hanks announcing he had it and was in the hospital the same day were the two events that tipped the scales in American culture towards taking it seriously.
First Team All-Dumbass
Easy to dump on him with hindsight. It was a knucklehead move given what was going on, but we all had a steep learning curve with how bad covid was going to be
Patient 0
This was the highlight of the early pandemic.
I’m a proud rudy gobert hater
They were calling this man GOVID-19 after this
Dude is a giant turd.
What’s funny is that this moment is when Covid became real. Maybe it was timing, but I just remember the world going into lockdown along with the NBA after this.
Ahh, the good ol’ days 🥴
this is why Gobert is the greatest defender of all time. No other player has ever shut down the entire league!
Why is this being brought back up
The league getting shut down (mid-game in at least one case) and the Vegas casinos closing (they don’t even close those for bomb threats) were the moments that made me realize that something huge was happening.

Why is this relevant at all right now
