  1. Interesting looking back they probably did the right thing at the trade deadline in hindsight before July our offence was great and pitching ok. There were clamours for Suarez (August 171/238/368 ) at third base who has done way worse than Shaw (255/323/655), our starting pitching is now near 1st in MLB since trade deadline and the one starter we got lasted 2 innings (that was the worst bit of trade deadline).

  2. Why can't Council do for Suzuki what he did for Tucker. Sit him down a few days let him try to figure it out again. Sunday would have been a perfect opportunity to put OC in the DH position. I also continue to feel that Bush is being wasted at lead off. Of all players I would actually put Happ back there just given the walks that he's been drawing and don't get me started on Nico only leading off against Lefty's? These simple changes in the lineup seem so obvious to everyone except one person It really feels that these victories of late have come despite Counsel. In closing I've said it before I'll say it again I want to publicly apologize for everything I said about David Ross

  3. Hey Sam I’ll be at The Labor Day game against The Braves so if you’re there I’ll come say hi and get a photo with you. I watch you and Matt every day on YouTube.

  4. Suzuki is very frustrating. He takes way too many bitches put himself in bad position at the plate and I’ve never seen a guy who hits in the middle of the order fall off fast balls down the toilet more than him. Those are the pictures you need to hit in fair territory. Those are the mistakesand he hit him backwards all the time.

  5. Even though Caissie is playing well they need to send him back down asap. He could be ROTY next year and if they keep him up now he’ll lose rookie status. Give him between now and the September call up in AAA should fix that. Otherwise calling him up and not playing him regularly is a waste of time.

  6. I totally agree with Counsell sitting Shaw and his never improving .226 batting average but what I definitely don't agree with is not playing Caissie?? Caissie needs to play as much as possible to see what we have or don't have for next year! Don't get lost in this Tucker resurgence as this isn't going to change the issue of signing him! His stock will just go back up for a big purse somewhere else! All being said for the way the fans and press belittled him I wouldn't want to stay here as well. Caissie needs to play some way as much as possible!

  7. Tucker Twin Theory… Tucker has a twin brother that can't play ball very well. Tucker was on an extended leave to deal with family issues and his twin brother took his place. The real Tucker is back. The Tucker Twin Theory… you heard it here first.

  8. Gotta play all 162. I see a potential of 20-21 W's left on the schedule. I don't care what the Brewers do. The Cubs just played 14 games in 13 days. Only allowed more than 3 runs in 4 of them. Scored 4 or more in just 7 of them. Still went 9-5. This next run of 15 games in 16 games could easily 10-5 or 11-4, but I'll take 9-6. Just gotta stay healthy.

  9. Ruined a good podcast with the last comment. EV and OBP have been trending up for quite sometime. I hope you’re joking with the Happ comment. Otherwise, you’re just choosing to be selectively blind. Good job by continuing to divide the fanbase though.

  10. I think we’ll be coming back to Counsell’s decision to bench Boyd and Cassie for game 5 against the brewers when it comes post-season time; i think that game could’ve been the difference maker. Also I’d say Seiya needs to sit based on his “struck out looking” numbers but Happ has been in the lineup doing jack shit for the last 3 and a half months with zero change. it took Tuck having a generationally bad stretch to sit, i doubt Suzuki will actually get the time off he needs to reset.

  11. Let's go Cubs ,the young guns got this show going ,Cassie and Shaw and our pitching staff 5 back let's go .Don't faulted now just win .Great show love it ,have a nice day.

  12. AI says Here are the known seasons where the Cubs have achieved 95+ wins:

    1906: 116 wins

    2016: 103 wins

    2017: 92 wins

    2018: 95 wins

  13. Seiya is a guess hitter that is why he looks at so many called third strikes…when he guesses right he hits it hard and when he guesses wrong he looks completely baffled
