Instant Reaction: The Cleveland Browns trade Kenny Pickett to the Las Vegas Raiders

If Kenny Pickett and Sam Howell were in a competition to see who will be traded the most times, they’d both be winning. Or losing.

Pickett was traded for a third time on Monday, from the Browns to the Raiders. Via Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Browns will receive a 2026 fifth-round pick.

Pickett, a first-round pick in 2022, originally was traded by the Steelers to the Eagles. In March, the Eagles traded him to the Browns, for quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a fifth-round pick.

Howell also has been traded three times. From Washington to Seattle to Minnesota to Philly.

We’ve said for months (blind squirrel alert) that Pickett looked to be the odd man out in Cleveland.   8. Joe Flacco will play until the playoffs are out of the question. Honestly, I hope we never see any rookie qb this year other than mop up duty because that would mean Joe is playing great. I’m a Browns fan first before a fan of ANY individual player over the team

  17. I like Shedeur a lot but I really hate the majority of his fan base and their childish behavior. It’s not his fault tho but I think he needs to do a lot more to address his fans and explain to the what the truth is instead of just allowing these false narratives to continue.

  20. I personally think they sandbagged everyone. I don’t love all of AB’s moves. But they like both rookies. Why not cut Sanders, a 5th round pick? Because he is a potential baller. And they absolutely trust Gabriel to be a career backup at least.

  25. they essentially traded up. The Raiders will more than likely have a worse pick than the Detroit Lions. So they traded up without Pickett playing a down of live football

  26. Shedeur has this year and this year only to show something and even that may not be enough to keep the Browns from drafting a QB very high in the 1rst rd next year.
